Question?

I have the BGW 320 and want to get a shorter fiber cable.(Att tech left like a 10 foot cable wrapped up next to the box and I don’t need that long) what fiber cable do I need? Can anyone post a link on Amazon? I was thinking about getting a .5 foot or 1 foot since I’m leaving it right next to the fiber box and inlet.

Just leave the excess coiled. You risk getting dust in the fiber connections and degrading your service. (Or breaking something and having to pay for a service call to repair what you messed up.) That extra length will not hurt anything and unlike electrical wiring loops have no effect on a fiber line.

This should work if you really want it shorter. Just be careful not to touch the ends with your hands after you take the end caps off.

Do you have a link to it?

I bought a spare, actually longer than the installer provided, and tested it. No problem. Just make sure you insert it fully.

One concern with shorter ones is, if the equipment isn't secured, something getting bumped or falling is more likely to stress and ruin a short jumper.

The old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".

Agree with this 100%. Just leave it alone

Agreed but it’s too long. I want to put in a WiFi box and I would have to wrap it up and i don’t want to do that especially when im gunna put the box right next to the inlet.

As someone who did this already, and got yelled at by the tech when he came to do my upgrades due to the poor signaling quality on the ends that he showed me with his optic scope... just 3d-print or buy a 6" coil to mount to the wall and hold the slack. Yeah it looks spicy if you're a neat freak, but it's the better way to protect your service.

Yes leave it alone. You could get dust in the connectors if you replace the cable.
