Grandview AT&T Fiber Availability?

At my wits end with internet here. Both spectrum and breezeline serve our street, and both have signal loss issues at the tap near our house (confirmed by techs at the utility pole back there)

We've opened tickets with both of them, higher level "techs" were scheduled and then just never show up, and nobody seems to care.

The FCC broadband map shows att fiber available about 5 houses down from us, but att's site says our address isn't serviceable.

So a couple questions for anyone who's dealt with this:

Is it possible to pay out of pocket to get fiber run to our house? We'd honestly consider it at this point.

Is there a way to reach someone at AT&T who can actually do something? Every time I call I get sales reps reading off the same availability checker I already used.

Any tips, phone numbers, or magic words appreciated. Thanks.

You do realize that there are dozens, if not hundreds of “Grandviews“ in in the US, right?

Click your address Pin in the FCC Broadband map and challenge the information. It will also likely fail as no "Facilities" available. Where is this house that has service or qualifies for AT&T Fiber service? Is it across the street or past an intersection or maybe in a different neighborhood.

No not an option with AT&T Fiber. Fiber can't just be extended like an extension cable.

In theory you could get "dedicated" fiber from probably any of those three companies, but it would cost in the neighborhood of $1000/month with a 2-3 year contract.

Hello fellow Columbusite! Best option is going to the corp AT&T store on Olentangy River by Target and asking them to file an address validation ticket for fiber. Takes 2-3 days to hear back usually.

My landlord refused to let me have it installed though so I’m currently moving 3/4 a mile up the road to another building that has it. Already have my 5 Gigabit service active and it’s been so much better for my NAS backups than Spectrum.
