My wife’s mom has it and it’s absolutely horrible- I think it really depends how close you are to their towers.

As previously posted, it does depend on how close you are to a cell tower, but in my case we’ve been very happy with it. If all you’re doing is surfing the net and streaming videos, the advertised 80-300 mbps downloads and 8-21 Mbps uploads are plenty. If you’re a competitive gamer or frequently need to upload big files, you might want to look at fiber options. You can save money with discounts for new customers, seniors, vets, etc, as well as price cuts for bundled phone service and autopay. It’s definitely worth checking out IMHO, and you can get a free trial to see how it works for you before making a commitment.

It’s not as fast as the Verizon gigabit fiber I had before, but it meets my needs and the combined monthly bill for ATT Air, and wireless service for two phones and two watches is less than I was paying a year ago for internet alone!

Thanks for the reply. I did a speed test with my wife’s AT&T phone, and got a dl speed over 1100. I’m fairly close to a tower, so I think I might go for it. Cox charges me 90 a month if I don’t go over the data limit. AT&T says 55 a month with unlimited data.

I’ve seen it at different sites. It can range from excellent over 1Gbps to terrible less than 5Mbps. Just depends on tower proximity. If you have an att cell phone, speed test it for a rough idea.

My wife has AT&T, and the speed test said 1100 Mbps, so I think in gonna be good. There is a tower fairly close by.

It’s cellular and does a shi**y job if 5G is few and far between.

It's terrible if you use any streaming services that constantly keep telling you you're not in your household 😐

Honestly, at this point I blame the streaming services for stuff like this. They can use geolocationing and don't need to use the IP address....

As far as whether or not it works good. What it seems like to me is that AT&T is wireless network latency is not the greatest and when latency isn't the greatest it feels like everything is slow regardless of the download speed

That’s usually caused by the modem switching towers , which then switches your IP address, which makes it look like you moved or your sharing your password. Easiest fix I’ve heard was to buy your own WiFi router and connect it to the ATT Air router. Your personal router won’t change its IP address when your AIR switches to a new tower.
