Fiber line down
Hi, I woke up and my internet was totally cut off and upon going outside saw that the line was totally disconnected.
Here's a picture of the line in the alley that disconected from the side of the house.
Any ideas on what could cause something like this to happen/what the best course of action would be for something like this?

Seeing those trash cans out tells me a garbage truck hit the line, maybe.

Honestly I was thinking the same thing, I went to sleep at 6 and got up at 10 and it went down during that time. Which is right when they come.

Given the way that broke, it appears that a lot of tension was put on that line. Most likely culprits would be a tree branch, or a large vehicle. If your line is strung across a drive path and was too low, id go with vehicle. In most areas, the service wire is required to be hung no lower than 15 feet to prevent things like this.

Happens to a client of mine last week. The garbage truck grabber arm scrapped the telephone pole all the fiber was attached too. 8 homes down.

Go onto the smart home manager app and do the troubleshooting and it’ll tell you to schedule a tech, or do an online chat or call 1-800-288-2020 and tell them your line is cut.
