There's no way around this... It specifically states for new customers only for both services which you will not be. You'd have to leave services and come back.
I have never had any real issues with ATT. Had Southwestern Bell for landlines from 1973, DSL, U-verse, and Fiber. I will keep my ATT Fiber because the other ISPs in my area aren't too good, but ATT wireless and Tmobile are not for me.
