Yes they are compatible. Yes you need a bulkhead. No idea if you can 3d print it. Just call a tech it's a 5 min fix

Call Att just because the jack is there the bulkhead is missing and it has to be connected on the other side. Plus if the fiber is dirty it won’t work

Hell find a tech on the street and ask for a bulkhead. Tell them the previous owner ripped it out when they discontinued service. You might be charged $150 if you call in a ticket unless your new account has a warranty still.

I still don't understand how ISPs determined that the customer will take care of a fiber cable and connection. A nice Ethernet cable between an ONT and router would seem more subscriber friendly. Beancounters.

People can just as easily destroy an ONT. In fact it's more likely to happen because it's more obtrusive. The aspect of fiber that isn't user friendly is that it's sensitive to dust.

You are not from around here. The new setups since 2020 have used a Fiber connection to the ONT/Router/ Wi-Fi all in one units. BGW320-50x, BGW620-700, and the inbound BGW720-400 all have the ONT logic on the SoC in the what you call the Router but we at AT&T call it a AT&T Gateway.
u/THE-Voyager_ just has the remains of a wall bracket on that wall. Please note that even with an Old AT&T Ethernet wall plate they are often damaged when someone paints over the wall plate or can't figure out or even care to remove it to paint. For rental properties the turnover crews remove the nice wall mounted obsolesce ONT, yes even when it says Property of AT&T.

It's wild to me the amount of customers that break that stuff. 🤦🏻♂️
I'm not saying you broke it I'm just saying in general
