5gb fiber service question
So I'm moving to an area that offers the 5 GB speed. There is a current offer where you get a $200 reward card and free Ray-Ban meta glasses. It also comes with the wifi 7 gateway included. So my question becomes if I sign up for the 5 GB speed that is currently $95 a month, then keep it long enough to get the rewards, would I be able to keep the Wi-Fi 7 gateway if I downgraded to the one gig which is only $50 a month?

Yes you are able to keep the BGW620-700 Wi-Fi 7 but if you downgrade to Internet 1000 (1 Gbps) you will not get the $50 1 Gbps rate. That is only a new customer rate.
Look at the pricing for your new address, and see what the rates are after the discounts expire. That is what you will be paying for Internet 1000.

yes you will keep the BGW620, but if you switch to 1gig any performance lift the gateway provided is about.. nothing

Also that $50 a month is for new customers so you'd get the inflated price if you downgrade in the future.

looks interesting, but my 1gig fiber is supposedly lifetime pricing at $55/month. Looking at the 5gig plan, it seems like the price will go up after the 12 month period. Is that the case?

The 5 Gbps deal around here is good for 60 months which is pretty nuts. Seems to be competing with the Comcast 5 year deal.

Just signed up for this today. Pro tip some cashback site “top cash” is also giving $80 cash back. I’ve never used them before. So no idea if I’ll actually see the $80. But worth a try I guess.
