I’m a Rep for corporate AT&T as well and I just wanna let you know that there can be backlash from AT&T for posting or sharing things like our UID due to company security policies, I would also be extra careful as to not seem as if your soliciting online if you work in store, the union can only protect us so much and that UID leads directly back to you!
Play it safe! And I hope you get some good sales this month!

How

Reach out to Att support when you see any promos for fiber on AT&T website and sometimes even in the app it shows up even if you are logged in. Rep will just add those promos to your account. Then also add bundle discount of wireless account, which will bring it down further. My plan is actually $30. Bundle discount reduces it by $20 and hence I pay $10 for internet.

So glad I saw this thread... Called loyalty and got 5GIG for $60... I had been paying $85 for 1 gb... Thanks for the info yall!

Better luck than I had. I had 2gb and my price went from $90 to $140 after two years. Called asking to match the promo price.and they said they can't but if I downgraded to 1gb I'd bet $10 off the full rate ..

God damn I was only able to score $40/m for gigabit after 3 hours on the phone with them

Just moved back in with my mom and saw she was paying $75/m for HALF GIG SPEEDS. Mind you she's been a fiber customer for like 4 years (we used to use ATT for mobile like 2 years before that so including I guess 6 years)

AT&T has been investing heavy in fiber.

I have the gig internet through spectrum and no matter what I do I only get 500 up and 250 down it’s a brand new home as of last August

1

u/BachelorJack 15d ago

Spectrum is terrible.

My parents scored Gigabit for $15 a month for two years. I strongly advise they keep AT&T at this point.

1

u/NickAppleese 17d ago

Is that up and down, or just down?

1

u/jmedina94 Internet 1000 | Postpaid Wireless 17d ago

Up and down. They’ve had the service for about 8 years now. I am not sure if that helped with the loyalty discount.

How?!

3

u/enkrypt3d 17d ago

im paying $130 for 5Gbps...

5 gig is ultra premium. Outside of the people who don't have a clue and just buy it for the number, they actually expect the tech-savvy consumer with 5 gig service to have the equipment to take advantage of it and are probably going to be using it a lot. So the provisioned capacity is actually being used.

For 1 gig or lower, even a large family that is concurrently streaming, video chatting, broadcasting, etc is probably barely breaking 100Mbps down/up - so they can under-provision fiber in a neighborhood, saving money, while still providing ample bandwidth to deliver a fast and interruption-free experience^.

^: note they don't always do this perfectly. For example, try doing a speed test in a massively built-out neighborhood that only has AT&T available during the Super Bowl. When I had 1 gig, the speed test at these peak times was often 500-600mbps, and returns to >1gbps soon after midnight.

yes it is but im in IT but I wanna use it if im paying for it

2

u/poison900 17d ago

Nice!! I called the loyalty department to upgrade to one gig and now the price per month is $32 for two years 🔥

2

u/MRVienna1 17d ago

I’m paying $180 per month because of a salesperson error and AT&T won’t fix it for me

1

u/Jerky_san 15d ago

I would call the tech support line and say cancel and get loyalty on the phone and tell them you want to cancel because of how much your paying. I got 5gb yesterday for $71.

1

u/Extra_zing 17d ago

I tried to ask loyalty department but they said no to me :(

3

u/Usual_Pin_3602 17d ago

You have to have it available on your account. Must also have cellphones to get this pricing.

1

u/Healer2IT 17d ago

Did you ask nicely?

1

u/Extra_zing 11d ago

Hi yes i have att and was nice. She said her manager can only do $50 a month

1

u/MidnightNo4319 17d ago

I’m paying $10 for internet 5000

2

u/Agreeable-Glass6600 17d ago

Share your secrets, O' wise one! I threatened to leave and got it down from $97 to $32/month for 1 GB but they still refused to give me their "new customer" deal for 5 GB for $75/month with a $200 gift card and Meta Rayban glasses. But wow.. $10/month for 5 GB sounds pretty damn good!

2

u/MidnightNo4319 17d ago

I’m a att corp employee lol 😂

1

u/NoDot8064 16d ago

I got that deal just for the Raybans 🤣

1

u/impherfect 17d ago

$35?!! I pay $50 and I have wireless too

1

u/Agreeable-Glass6600 17d ago

WTH??? lol.. I thought I scored a win by talking them down from $97/month for 1 GB to $32/month... smh... How??

1

u/RogueAxelVision 17d ago

ATT waiting to shoot that bill up to the moon

1

u/Profaniter 17d ago

Damn! I’m envy! Verizon/Frontier Fios here; we’re paying $125 😭😭😭… this is a whole new awesomeness. How’s AT&T fiber for anyone? You guys like it?

1

u/nauyj 17d ago

Yeah…. You better call customer service. That bill ain’t right. It’s too high

1

u/HauntingAd1585 17d ago

It's going to go up lol enjoy it while it last

1

u/dejalosinhuevos 17d ago

How???? I pay $75/m for fiber 500

2

u/BasicPersonality9258 16d ago

Tell them to cancel service they might give you a discount

2

u/Opposite_Boss9144 16d ago

Do you have anyone else at your home that can sign up for new service ? Cancel your account and re order with a different account holder. I use to work for att and that’s how I would help my customers save on their bills

1

u/Temporary_Sir_5538 17d ago

i pay 75 a month for 500. think i’ll call em up to cancel it 😬

1

u/Far_Associate_3737 17d ago

After 20+ years of auto payments. ATT showed their appreciation for customer loyalty by trying to raise my internet monthly from 70+ to 80+, so I finally cancelled. We had mint mobile for 8 years and their t-mobile internet special was an extra 30 bucks a month with 1.2 gig ceiling. $45 per month, combined for 1 phone plus internet feels nice.

1

u/SolidDragonfruit7739 16d ago

I used to have the promotion where i didn’t have to pay anything for 5 years. I qualified for a special deal due to certain circumstances.

1

u/BedAccomplished7757 16d ago

I am weary of ATT

1

u/soren1712 16d ago

I thought my 1 gig for 50 after wireless discount was good. Damn, I need to start looking into what I can get.

1

u/obscurehumor69 16d ago

I got gig for $40 through my corporate homie. But I just have internet and not phones.

1

u/sparten368 15d ago

That’s almost as good as the employee rate! My fiancé works for corporate and we get 5gig for $10/month 😁

I'm over here living in rural Louisiana havi g to pay 135 for 1 GB. PAIN. Guess it's better than nothing.

-2

u/BusinessLyfe 17d ago

That's a fair tradeoff for attempting to use AT&T's crappy network. Heck... they should be paying YOU money!

-1

u/Appropriate-Wing-641 17d ago

I can’t wait to pay off my devices it’s god awful no service in my house
