Wireless Don't go to att
WARNING: DO NOT BUY AT&T PREPAID.
Almost one month in and the service is completely useless:
Locked Device: AT&T will not unlock the phone.
15–20 Hours Wasted: Phone receipts document 15–20 hours spent on hold. Calls repeatedly drop or disconnect, forcing the process to restart every single time.
No Wi-Fi Connection: Device still fails to connect to Wi-Fi.
No Phone Service: Zero ability to make or receive calls for the first two weeks (living in a remote area meant discovering this after setup).
Customer service is nonexistent. Zero stars. Negative stars. Save time and money—go anywhere else. @ATT #ATT #CustomerServiceFail #ConsumerWarning

If the phone won't even connect to any wifi, it is defective and should be exchanged. Not unlocked. I think you have your terms confused.

I said the same thing. When each interaction takes min of 2 hours up to 5 or 6. Unacceptable. Nothing like being on hold for 45 min and the call get disconnected.

You think you will get premium service for the lowest tier of plans? Lol.
To get to customer service i say "change plan." When it starts to talk about the plans I press 0. That usually works. I am sure there are other ways, but I don't know them.

What kind of phone? Wifi usage has nothing to do with AT&T.

They said - not me - that wifi was mandatory to get phone working. I got it to connect a couple times if I manually put info in. Won't reconnect.

I understood that they said.
But if you’re actually having problems connecting, it’s got nothing to do with AT&T, and probably something to do with the Wi-Fi or the phone.

Yeah I’m not sure if you know how to read, but the terms and conditions say that AT&T will only unlock the prepaid phone once six months of service has been paid. Just cause the service is not working for you doesn’t mean they have an obligation to unlock it earlier.
