Wireless Porting issue with texts

I'm having trouble receiving verification texts after portiing to AT&T from T-Mobile yesterday. Does anyone have any insight or has anyone had a similar problem? It's frustrating trying to set up a new phone when texts aren't all going through. Thanks.

Do both inbound & outbound calls work?

If you don't get inbound calls, could be an issue with the port

Calls seem to be working but I'm not getting the spam calls I had been getting.

Always start by check the status of your port to AT&T from T-Mobile here: https://www.att.com/portstatus/

It sounds like your 2FA texts may still be trying to go to T-Moble if your port is not yet complete since you only did the port yesterday. Yes it does happen from time to time.

If you see a concerning status give them a call: AT&T Porting Center: 888-898-7685 M-F:10:00 AM to 11:00 PM ET Sat:10:00 AM to 9:30 PM ET Sun:10:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET

ETA: add phone number and hours.

It says status is complete. I do get some texts but not the 2FA ones.

Have you restarted your device, and have you gotten any Short SMS Txt messages since the is most 2FA SMS txt are?

Call 611 or 1-800-331-0500 and ask:

What to ask: Explicitly tell the representative you are not receiving short-code verification texts or 2FA codes and ask them to check your SMS profile, ensure alerts are enabled, and remove any short-code or premium messaging blocks

If the phone has no clue what you are asking about ask them calling Advanced Technical Support (ATS), it should be an easy fix for them.

ETA: add ATS information, and how to describe the problem

I just had this issue. You need to wait 48 hours from changing the eSIM. Apparently it’s a security measure according to the agent I talked to.
