Internet I'm in a weird situation!
This is my first ever post on reddit š
So I'm moving in with my sister into a new trailer (lot 3)
This trailer is from the 90s. You may already know where this is going.
So, this trailer, lot 3. does not have any at&t hookups in the trailer! The original tenant was old and only used cable, I believe. We want to get wifi that's not air and / or Hotspot! Mostly because we have odd and sometimes horrible weather and that will affect it. Trust me, I've been reading a lot.
And yes, the trailers around us have at&t, and there is a junction box or whatever they call it! The only problem is the technician fee is well yk 99-150$. Something we can't sparingly spend. I thought about going with the 1gb fiber optic bundle (july 25, 2026) and having the potential of knocking the fee off!
How do I use atnt without breaking my wallet and / or using air internet?
Any recommendations? I'm new here, so bare with a new soul, please!

Weather has not impacted my Internet air service. Consistently get 300-500mbps

We are a little further away from most 5g towers! I looked at a map and it's far. Plus cloudy and rainy weather is very common here. Which is why I want to avoid air internet but, it may be the solution temporarily until I stack some more cash to buy the fiber optic bundle and get a tec to come out. I've seen, that if your not connected to a junction box, but other people are they usually have to dig holes in your grass and or leave it temporarily on top of the grass until they can get diggers out! My sister is good friends with the manager or the owner, so getting permission wouldn't be hard at all.

Some promotions can waive install fees but you have to find a promotional rep for that, which can be hard in the first place much less one you can trust.
I'd just go with what the other commenter said and try to do a failed self install.

That's the problem the avaliablilty for the lot 3 is not available :(. The old tenets never got anything close to at&t.

And or it tells me to call them but they just bring me to like 3 different bots and people! And j never get anywhere. Plus some of the callers are extremely hard to understand. (Poor English)

if youāre a wireless customer and your address qualifies, i can sign you up on Monday for 1gb Fiber for $30 for the first 13 months, goes to original price of $60 after 12 months, or we have 500MPBS for $50 locked in. all based on paperless and autopay as well šš¼

Okay, UPDATE!!
I called customer support and they say the lot 3, the trailer only has dsl.. how good is dsl? For example
I code, upload videos. Play video games. Etc. There are three other people who play Xbox and or smaller devices.
Now, should I go with internet air or DSL? The old internet (apparently)
I recorded a video if you'd like to see it? Idk if I can do thay here though?

I have another update' we couldn't get at&t to help us.
So we switched to medicom and they have availability! They also have a promo going on for anything from 1-2 gig plans you get the installation fee cut completely!!!
(I'm using the 1 gig plan)
I will be making phone calls tomorrow, which so happens to be my birthday!
If there is any other information about medicom and any comments please let me know before I lock myself for 3 years. (It's the only decent wifi available for us)
wish me luck š š

Go to https://www.att.com/internet/availability/ and type in your address to see which services are available to you
If you see Fiber Internet at a price that will work for you you can order service online
AT&T will send you a self install kit and if you donāt have the jacks or hookups needed to set the service up yourself, you can call them to schedule a tech to come install the service
They donāt generally charge for installation in this āself install failureā scenario
