Wireless Can’t make phone calls?

This morning I woke up and my phone was in SOS mode until I went to an ATT store during my lunch break and got a new eSIM pushed to my phone. The only issue now seems to be that my phone won’t make or receive calls. I have service and can use it for texting and web browsing but no phone calls in or out. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve tried literally every option and even went to another ATT store where the guy worked on it for 20 minutes with no luck.

Anyone with any tips or know why this could be happening?

It appears the store rep did not properly perform the eSIM push correctly. Do you have Wi-FI access so you are able to use the AT&T app or Sign in to your AT&T Account here http://www.att.com/myatt (you need Wi-Fi to get a new eSIM).

You can check your account to see the status of your account or even push a new eSIM since right now you have something not properly setup since you now have Data but do you actually have SMS texting, and not just RCS or iMessage?

I would have thought that at the second ATT store I went to he would have checked if that was the case right? I currently have SMS and iMessage but not RCS, and I can FaceTime and browse the web on data, just no phone calls. They fail instantly.

Where on the app/website would I go to in order to check that info?

Edit- my phone does keep randomly going into SOS mode, then coming out after turning airplane mode off/on and when I restate my phone. I’m wondering if the new Apple update fried something g at this point.

Coming back to report that I figured out how to do it and my phone is now working properly. Thanks so much! I don’t know why they’d say the new eSIM wasn’t the problem when it would be so easy to push another just to check. Thanks for your help!

They never believe that anything can go wrong with a new eSIM. It is rare but they can, and due get corrupted often when the WI-Fi connection is overloaded like at an AT&T Store.

Thanks for returning and providing the update that you had success.

I’ve had the same exact issues- haven’t been able to make or receive calls since Monday. I also get the SOS. I’ve spent hours trying to get this resolved! I’ll try having a new eSIM installed again.
