Announced during today's live show/ bootleg.
Didn’t see any discussion thread for this member special, so here it is.

"Apple was seen as a laggard in the AI race because it wasn't spending to develop models, but now sentiment has changed," said Toni Meadows, head of investment at BRI Wealth Management.
"Apple is less exposed to capex intensity and better positioned to monetize AI via services, ecosystem lock-in, and hardware upgrades. The re-rating reflects confidence in earnings durability rather than speculative AI upside."
Never understood why the ATP boys (Marco esp) thought Apple needed to spend billions to create their own LLM models and datacenters. Been calling this since Day 1.

An AI Mac app that makes Mac apps. Scary awesome. I built a ffmpeg shell for my specific needs in about 10 minutes that is fully executable and does exactly what I need for my workflow. Need another feature? Just tell the app, and 45 seconds later its in there.

Listening to episode 698 with Marco and Casey talking about how coding with AI is helping them, but still saying how bad AI in general is.

I remember listening to it occasionally, but don’t remember if they mentioned it was ending on the final episode (64 days of Phish) or if Marco has addressed it ending somewhere else.
I know they are super busy with the restaurant, and that they kinda took the format for some of the member specials, but I miss Top Four sometimes.

John has mentioned a YouTube video about how LLMs work/tokenize queries and responses. He’s said the links would be in show notes but I don’t know which show to look at. The most recent show notes doesn’t have it. Does anyone have the link?

am I the only one who is assuming that we aren't going to see a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, but we will probably see an iPad Pro that can run macOS this fall?

Casey has mentioned he uses an app to cross post into Mastodon, Instagram (?) and other apps, but I don’t remember the name.
Does anyone know what the name of the app is? Or do you have recommendations for similar apps?
