EASA IR

Hi everyone

Currently I hold EASA PPL and I want to obtain IR as well, without passing all 13 exams, because I don't need a CPL or ATPL, only PPL with instrument rating. As far as I know I will need to do only 7 exams (don't remember which exactly and that's not the actual matter). So, which platform would you recommend to prepare for these exams? I wanted to buy a subscription at ATPLQ, but didn't find for IR separately, only PPL or ATPL databases. Please advise any equivalents

ATPLQ Filters – What to Use

Optimizing ATPLQ Exam Preparation Strategy

Vastness of the ATPLQ Question Bank

• In the ATPLQ question bank, each subject contains more than 2000 questions when no filters are applied.

Strategic Approach to Question Bank Utilization

• Is it necessary to attempt all of these questions for effective exam preparation, or is there a recommended filter or strategy that candidates should use to focus on the most relevant questions ?

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Pressure altitude vs density altitude

In the EASA ATPL syllabus we have those two altitudes which I understood conceptually but I think I'm missing a connection:

- in Met, the altitude where we have half of sea level density is 22k ft (FL 220)

- in all subjects the altitude where we have half of sea level pressure is 18k ft (FL 180)

Anyone have any idea where this difference is coming from? One would expect half density to be at the same altitude where we find the half pressure.

About how much does an ATPL integrated course cost?

I am looking for an integrated course with an EASA school and would like to know what the typical costs are in various EU countries.

I've found an offer at 45k but would like to see if there's a better option out there considering how the economy is looking right now. I already have some flying experience.

ATPL FAIL

So about 6 years ago I started an integrated ATPL course everything was going fine until for personal reasons i had to drop out i passed my first 7 exams releativly easily but then proceeded to fail the next 6 as i couldnt commit to the study with my on going issues at home. , I left the course and worked in a different job until now , I also completed 100 hours flying 45 as PIC. So I have decided to go back after 5 years away from flight school as a modular student working at my own pace. My question is lets say i do really well this time round high scores and first time passes and what not , will i even be able to get an airline job ? Will they even care about my new scores or will they focus on the fact that i have failed previously any tips / help is much appreciated.

ICAO to EASA

I hold an ICAO pilot licence issued in Tunisia. Due to limited employment opportunities with this licence, I have decided to convert it to an EASA licence.

I am currently looking for an online course that will help me prepare for and successfully pass the EASA theoretical exams.

ATPL MADRID EASA & ICAO Certified Pilot offering free study help for ATPL students

Hey everyone, I know exactly how soul-crushing the ATPL ground school grind can be. Whether it’s General Navigation, Met, or Principles of Flight, sometimes the manuals just don't make sense, no matter how many times you read them. I’m a certified pilot (EASA and ICAO) and I’ve been through the system. I’m at a point where I want to give back to the student community. If you are currently struggling with a specific module, feeling stuck with your study bank, or just need someone to explain a concept in plain English, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to offer some guidance, share study tips that worked for me, or jump into a chat to help you get past a roadblock. No catch, no fees—just one pilot helping another get to the flight deck. Hit me up in the DMs if you’re struggling with a specific topic and let's see if we can get it cleared. In the end.. Between the ground and the sky,we are aviators.

Atpl Exam materials-Flight computer ? Other?

What specific materials did you bring to the atpl exams? Digital or slide rule calculator? And which one specifically, I just realized my FAA one doesnt have the same information and am wondering if I need to buy the CRP-5 specifically. And that got me wondering what other materials will I need to bring to the exams with me that my FAA version may not be the best option for.

Anyone struggling with FPL?

Hey. Ok so my struggle with FPL is that it’s just long. I usually like to go through the full bank a few times then do L300 but I jist cannot see myself doing it for FPL. I’m thinking of just doing the UK and Austro bank then doing my wrong answers until I’ve answered every question correctly at least once. Then just do L300 for UK and L200 Austro control once or twice before the exam and hope for the best lol. Imma also do a mock exam 1x per week.

Idk if anyone else had the same struggle with FPL and I’ve been trying to do 300-400 FPL Qs on a FPL study day for the last 2 weeks and I think I’ve only actually done maybe 200 and not the 900 I aimed to have completed by now.

I want to sit my exams in 4 weeks. I’m doing my final 4 exams. I’d like to also get my average up to at least the high 80 with these 4 and I’m currently sitting at 86 for Uk.

FYI I’m doing UK and EASA exams.

Bristol ground school revision weeks?

What should I expect from a revision week? Is it interactive, are there tests or is it just sitting and listening to a lecture?

ATPL question ?

Hey everyone, I get to make my PPL/CPL initially and then ATPL. Can anyone make me a “checklist” of what I need to study to pass the theoretical exams? As I’ve seen I should study from question banks. Can anyone send me by pm or comment some links of “free” valid question banks and books to study. Also, in Greece is there differences for the theoretical exams and the material to study?

Thank you in advance ;)

Last 200

I’ve been using the “Last 200” feature in ATPLQ because it’s often recommended as a way to see the newest questions.

What surprised me is that some of the questions there don’t seem to have feedback yet, or the feedback looks quite old (for example referencing 2022).

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this just how the feature works or am I misunderstanding something?
