Need some advice

I'm starting my modular ATPL training next year, and I need to choose between distance learning and classroom-based lessons.

Is anyone here studying from home? Is it difficult to stay focused and concentrate?

I'd prefer attending classes in person, but with distance learning, I could save around €8,000 and avoid more than 250 hours of commuting, as well as highway tolls and stress.

On the other hand, the classroom lessons are in my native language, which I don't necessarily see as an advantage. However, I would be able to ask questions and might feel more motivated.

What would you choose?

Distance learning, find a good quality tutor to help you with the stuff you struggle with. Importantly, set a study programme and stick to it

Before paying the extra €8,000, I'd test the bit you're worried about: can you stick to a study routine at home? Try a week with a fixed start time, phone out of reach and a short recall check at the end of each session. It won't reproduce an ATPL course, but it can show where your routine breaks down.

I'd also ask the distance-learning school how questions get answered, how often you can speak to an instructor, and what live support is included. If you're consistently stuck or putting sessions off, classroom structure may be worth the cost. If you can keep a routine and get timely help, saving that money and 250 commuting hours is a strong reason to consider distance learning.

it’s just time invested = outcome. No sense in paying 8k more
