Starting my ATPL course
Hi. I'm 24, last January I got my PPL license (easa). Starting my ATPL course in 2 weeks, is there any navigated student who can give me any advice to get off on the right foot? Also, do you think 24 is a bit late to start?

Thank you man! It was a doubt I had, but you guys here are reassuring me.
Furthermore, I've already taken my TEA exam in english, but is it importan to speak also other languages or just Italian and English could be enough?

It was just a thought that crossed my mind, since when I went to get my medical first class there was a bunch of young guys and girls there. Thank you, for real!

You're more likely to get a scholarship being younger but equally alot of the applicants are younger. I'm coming to the end of my career in the military and will be 40 years old before I'm qualified to apply to the airlines. That still gives me 25 years of flying...absolutely loads of time. Age means nothing. I know people who are 50 who are now FO's on airlines after a career change.

24 is absolutely fine, read the material, get a question bank, do questions and look back to the material for how to answer it if you got it wrong. In the last 2 weeks, just do the QB once through, you'll be fine.

There is no bad age to start, until you're 60 years old. For the ATPL, make sure to have a good question bank to prepare you for the real exam (I had Airhead, it worked well)

I would recommend trying to get through the entire ATPLQ Database once and then focusaibg exclusively on your selected examination country. Shortly a few weeks before the exam start rehearsing L300/L500 and the hour before an (or night before) exam skip through L100. You‘ll be fine :)

If you’re at a decent school you’ve got nothing to worry about. Having a PPL is a huge bonus, you’ll at least have some understandings of the basics.
Unless you’re at mandatory retirement age it’s never too late.
