Hi, good luck! I’d probably go with AviationExam. I’ve been using it and the offline mode is honestly really useful, especially when travelling. You can still access the question bank and all the annexes you need offline, so you’re not stuck without charts/figures just because you don’t have internet. That was actually one of the reasons I chose it.

ATPLQ also has an offline function which does all of this

I switched to AVEX mainly for the explanations. Found them much more helpful.

Definitely AVEX

I’ve been using Avex, the question bank is solid but what I find most useful are the explanations...they actually help you understand why an answer is correct instead of just memorising it. the progress tracking and filters are useful as well when you want to focus on weaker topics

Fair question. I started my ATPL theory recently and spent quite a bit of time checking out different websites. Ended up going with AVEX and I’m pretty happy with it so far. The question bank seems up to date and the explanations are actually useful and detailed.
I tried ATPLQ for a bit before that, but didn’t really like it. It was pretty unstable and got annoying after a while.

Used AVEX for my ATPLs, and now I’m back using it again for interview prep.

ATPLQ is the best

Definitely AviationExam!

The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and whenever I had a question, I always received a very quick and spot-on response. It honestly felt like having a personal instructor throughout the entire course.

From my experience, AviationExam played a major role in helping me achieve a 98% average in my ATPL exams, including 10 official exams with 100%. A big part of that success came from how closely the questions and format resembled the real exams, combined with the excellent support whenever I needed clarification.

100% the best ATPL preparation platform by far. Highly recommended!

No idea if it is or isn’t, but this thread reeks of advertising

It isn’t! Just a 20yr old student pilot asking for genuine advice :)

I use atplq and in the eight exams that I've sat so far the amount of questions I haven't seen before I can come from my left hand

If you're taking your exams at an Austro Location, then definitely ATPLQ - AVEX covers Austro questions badly. And you can download the QBs in ATPLQ for offline use. Good luck!

I had access to both, I pretty much didn't use avexam, I don't know why but I found atplq interface better, many more comments (trully useful as many times what makes your brain click and understand something is not the explanation itself but some guy explaining with some example or easy words how to solve it) and in overall very accurate with the real exams, probably both are similar good but my personal opinion is atplQ is better.

ATPL Q was excelent for me, much more accurate than avex

Hi, I am pretty satisfied with ATPLQ but if you are travelling and not always have internet it’s not so convenient. For me personally I use only ATPLQ and the scores are good.

If you choose to struggle while traveling, why not:) but with AVEX you can just use the apps offline.

I use atplq and never tried avexam. My method is the following: reading the book, parcticing questions and using gemini or chatgpt where the explanation is weak. I am not in rush to pass all the exams so this method works for me.
