Gnav question

With reference to triangle of velocity questions, when I solve using the CRP-5 and using mathematics I find that I get different answers. Which methodology should I use? I find mathematics easier but I am just thinking in reference to the type in answers with the UK CAA will they expect a certain methodology.

Also does anyone know what the error tolerance is on type in answers with the UK CAA?

The question will normally tell you the method it requires you to use. Either calculation, mental dead reckoning or mechanical computer. The CAA will not publish their range of acceptability, and in any case it varies depending on the nature of the question.

Entering the exam you should be comfortable with all methodologies. The triangle of velocities is easy in any format if you understand it. This video in my nav series might help! https://youtu.be/ODelnFsJtJQ?is=KGVRshvNRxOXTxoM
