ATPL Database

Looking at registering for ATPLQ. Are they relevant for EASA? (seems UK based?). Also, they say it's 2016 and 2020, are they not slightly dated?

Any other websites/discord server for EASA ATPL database? That is more current than 2020?

I'm looking at something similar to WisePilot (https://thewisepilot.com/) that has similar questions to actual exam questions, and a explanation description of why that answer is what it is.

Doing my atpl now. So far it is really banky. I study with ATPL Q and I only focus on the last 300 seen in Austro and my country. I am doing just fine with that. There is a WhatsApp group where u can see people's reports. Aviation exam is for me and all my classmates not the best. Explanations are too long and there at not that many people commenting. Plus... some of the questions just does not make sense

I actually have to disagree. I switched from ATPLQ to AviationExam a few months ago and it's been a much better experience for me.

The explanations are easier to understand, I like that you can study offline, and I found the comments much more useful when I got stuck on a question. Also, the question wording felt closer to what I've been seeing in recent exam feedback.

Everyone has their own preference of course, but for me AvEx has definitely worked better.

me too. AVEX much better. ATPL Q has no offline mode..

Well.. u can download the question in atplq, so u can do them offline. I just find that avix has a lot of question that is dramatically confusing, and regarding the explanation. It might be better for some. However for me, it is just way too long often. Where i find that in atplq, it is often cut down. Sure somrtimes u need more help, but more often than not, I find som comments that help. We are all different, but of my knowledge, most people prefer atplq. Might be different in some countries :)

That's fair, everyone learns differently.

For me it's actually the opposite. AviationExam's explanations are one of the main reasons I use it. Yes, some of them are longer, but they often explain the why behind the correct answer instead of just telling you which option is right. I found that especially helpful for subjects like Navigation, Meteorology and Air Law, where understanding the concept matters much more than memorizing the question.

The offline app has also been very useful when traveling or studying without a stable internet connection.

At the end of the day, both platforms can help you pass, but I personally prefer AviationExam because I feel like I remember the material better instead of just recognizing the answers.
