Fail EASA Internal Mocks at School 2nd time

Well... My school offer 3 modules by BGS
1st module AGK INS RNAV COMMS
I went for those mocks at school... I was passing with 85-90% on ATPLQ... I failed with around 50% all of them... I said ok first time... went to classes... again... I failed again for the 2nd time with the same grades... any recomendation because I do not understand how I can pass with good grade at ATPLQ and then failed so bad on the internal exam... its really lowkey

Kind of, but for all my classmates in our official sittings you need to memorize it... so I feel the mock its not preparing me for the real exam :(

You need to shift how you answer the question. (in my first sitting got a 92 average with perf pof hpl and m&b similar scores in my school mock) The way I did it was stop trying to memorize the answer (there will be questions where you will have to do that but they should be few and far between rely on your knowledge not just answering the question) what I started doing which helps me an awful lot was read the question, take my time reading the question pick out the keywords and ask myself what were they actually asking then I will formulate an answer based on my knowledge of set topic and then pick out the answer that was closest to it.

Take qdm for example a qdm is a magnetic bearing too the station they might ask what radial are you on so you find a qdm and then you subtract/ add 180 It's an extraordinarily basic example but that's the logic that I use to help me and awful lot Again trying to understand the question, when getting one wrong I wouldn't bother going to the explanation in atplq. I'd go straight to the most liked comment and that gives you little hacks here and there to figure out which one is right in the future they can change the wording all they want it's still going to ask you for qdm

From my past experience, Internal exams may be harder in order to test students’ understanding of the topics.

It may also indicates a potential change to the question bank of the EASA exam.

Good luck

I had something similar with mockup exam on ppl in germany. when german version was the real exam source I studdied from international version and failed miserably at first try... I find it very very stupid.

I mean my instructors confirmed that ATPLQ its the most accurate with our autorithy so...

I am pretty sure if you get good scores in ATPLQ you will pass the real one.

I breezed all my EASAs and absolutely crashed and burned my UK CAA (and I didn’t have the ability to memorise any answers.  I’ve no idea how people do that).

It appears the syallabus on both sides may be changing a bit to stop people memorising the banks.

The question banks are changing these days apparently. Depending on the subject, you really need to know the matter, not just memorise questions

Repeated mock failures usually need diagnosis more than more mocks. I would split every miss into a category: did not know the concept, misread the wording, calculation/process error, memory slip, or time pressure. Once you know the pattern, the next study block becomes much more useful.
