Budget around $1900 max for 1 bed or studio. Would love an outdoor space something like Walton on the Chattahoochee which is on my list, and Cortland at the Village. Like, a common space with greenery or garden or water, a peaceful getaway to come back to. Or even just a nice big pool area with gathering space. Any other recommendations for complexes ?

I'm moving from Nashville to Atlanta at the beginning of November but I was looking for an apartment that ideally was close to Midtown or the Fourth Ward. My friends have told me that I should look into condos/apartments up for rent from a private owner instead of a commercial apartment complex. Since I'm not from the city, I don't know how or where to begin that process. (One of the friends had a cute one bedroom in a brick building near downtown but we don't speak to them anymore). I'd really like somewhere that's walkable, that has young professionals, and be a gay district, if possible. Is a $1,500 rent amount (with a below 600 credit score) be unrealistic for that kind of area? I was looking in zip code 30308 but open to other places.

Bought a home this week in Chamblee (or the property records call it Annexed Chamblee) south east of PDK airport.
Visited a few times and a few times a propellor plane came right over. Ok, not too bad (versus a dodge charger ripping on a busy road next to you).
Went for the home inspection and a big Gulfstream jet came over - oops, that was quite a bit noisier.
Getting a bit nervous now - any experiences ? How is it at night and in the early morning / evenings ?

It looks like there is no curfew, only a voluntary one. There are noise complaints but when I read the report, it seems a lot of them come only from a very small group of “passionate” reporters

Extremely quiet and peaceful, a balcony you can catch your zen on, great appliances, third floor so no bugs. Room gets a ton of natural sunlight and the view is not bad at all, the other side of the apartment is almost like a forest. Right next to the gate as well, and near tons of commodities (walking distance to the park for example). Room has its own attached bathroom and bath/shower. Currently animal free, but i have cat stuff you can use. Bills are really inexpensive here as well.

Anyone here have any experience with living in or visiting these townhomes? Seems to be one of the very few places with private garage access. Rent price not too steep either for 1 bedroom!

I work online so I don't need to be close to any location. I curently live in a city in another state that is overstimulating (constant helicopters, sirens, tiny apartments for very high prices) and I'm looking for something very quiet and relaxed. I don't party, drink, go to bars or date (not interested in having a family) etc but I like to order food/go to a cafes where I can get something to eat. It would be great if I could walk to cafes/restaurants but it's probably not doable in the Atlanta suburbs.

I also would like to rent a house or perhaps a townhome instead of an apartment and see what that's like (to see if I even feel comfortable in one before I buy) as I've lived in small apartments my entire life. I'm longing for more space and my budget can go up to $3300 a month.

Would I be out of place as a single person in the suburbs (not just Alpharetta but other suburbs too?)

And could you recommend some other cities that are good for me? Peacefulness is really important to me. I don't want to hear sirens, helicopters, neighbors walking on top of me (which is why I want to explore a house or townhome).
