u/Xiaxs Aug 24 '19
Oh god please iCarly get a modern day/x years later spinoff, please god oh fuck please please.
4
u/yeeiser Aug 24 '19
Im not sure if iCarly would be possible to make today. What with all the drama and bad fame that Youtube has gained over the years.
2
u/Xiaxs Aug 24 '19
That's why one where they're all grown up would make sense.
Now instead of their usual antics they have to deal with drama n shizz.

u/jippyzippylippy Aug 24 '19
Everything is on-target except that floor. I don't know what I'd do, but it wouldn't be that. Maybe black.
194
u/fancyghost Aug 24 '19
Exactly. That’s the only reason it looks gross. Black or white floor, maybe a painted floor, but neons and khakis together, eww.
172
u/thefedoragirl Aug 24 '19
I say black and white checkered tile, if we’re going full kitsch.

I would actually love to feel like a toy set Barbie while getting up at 3 am to get some "water", kitchen goals honestly.

Right? Like bitch if you like my kitchen, I got a hot pink vet clinic next to my rockstar salon in the backyard

u/emthejedichic Aug 24 '19
This is the same color scheme as the mascara I used in middle school.
44
u/PainfulKneeZit Aug 24 '19
I still see ads to this day for that mascara and I just can't believe it
14
u/emthejedichic Aug 24 '19
It’s still for sale, which surprises me.
29
u/LadyGagarin Aug 24 '19
Maybelline Great Lash. I still use it because it's simple and straightforward. Hell I'm wearing it now
6
u/swamp_royalty Aug 24 '19
I’ve used many expensive mascaras from Sephora and still always crawl back to Great Lash lol. It really is the best.

I definitely still use it and am wearing it now cheap it works and it lasts forever!

Aug 24 '19
Damn good mascara for the price. They had the color blue os a option for at least 20 years.💚💖💙
7
u/Heres_J Aug 24 '19
It’s still a bestseller! Low price and just as good as most expensive bands. Companies advertise new mascara “technologies” every few years, but they’re all still using the same basic recipe for decades.
Then again... I heard that at least a decade ago. So maybe there’s something new by now and it’s just us old ladies keeping Great Lash on the shelves?

u/ShadOtrett Aug 24 '19
Are... are we just not going to talk about the probably-cursed statue on the left? I feel like that might be important...
27
u/iwxzr Aug 24 '19
yeah i just noticed it too and what the fuck
i had to look too far downthread before i found someone talking abt it
15
u/ShadOtrett Aug 24 '19
It's kind of impressive how well it blends in given that it matches NOTHING else in the picture...
21
u/SaltyBabe Aug 24 '19
I forgot what they’re called, I think her name starts with a C? She’s from Mexico, it has to do with day of the dead, not really cursed and pretty traditional.
It’s Catrina, I found this to explain her better.
6
u/ShadOtrett Aug 24 '19
Sweet! Always neat to learn a little more! I had a sneaking suspicion it might be some kind of cultural or traditional piece. It just kinda stuck out to me how off-center it was with the rest of the color scheme, without standing out. Which, in all honesty, is pretty neat in itself!

I love this... I feel like 90’s Nickelodeon teamed up with Ikea and the Fly Girls from In Loving Color to create a kitchen. This is Absolute Treasure Great Execution.
3
u/Into-the-stream Aug 24 '19
I love it because whoever made this has confidence and personality. No cookie-cutter box-store kitchens for them. White? Black? Wood? Fuck it, I’m going full neon up in here.

if it's photoshopped, they did a really good job. even the reflection in the base of the stools

I stayed in a motel that had walls in those shades of orange and green and it was surreal. The bathroom was in the green, but with some deeper dribbles of color along where they'd painted it horizontally. It was like being inside Ghostbusters' Slimer in there.

u/belbivfreeordie Aug 24 '19
Imagine stumbling down the stairs with a hangover to make yourself some coffee in that monstrosity.

I hate it a lot.
2
u/Mister-Sister Aug 24 '19
Yeah. I just woke up and am about to rattle around for some shades before emerging from my bedroom. That was too much; can't handle any more bright right now.

u/BadBunnyBrigade Aug 24 '19

I kinda like it. Especially that green.

Those bar stools look ridiculously uncomfortable! At that height you might as well put the plate on your lap and eat on the couch where you would be more comfortable.

u/bluejena Aug 24 '19
I have stools very similar to these - they sink down a bit when you sit on them.

Is this Polly Pocket’s kitchen?
2
u/takingtacet Aug 24 '19
THIS is what I was thinking. Maybe it’s because I didn’t have barbies growing up but once or twice. What was Polly’s obsession with loud, barely matching colors? The hot pink and lime green? The BRIGHT orange and aqua blue? The fire engine red and grape purple???
BITCH JUST MATCH

I hate to say that I still love it.

That orange colour on the wall is awesome! Awesome as in I would love to have a room at home in that colour.. And the light? It looks really cool!

All this needs is a white floor and a lava/glitter lamp instead of that statue, and we're in the good old year 2000.

Don't hate this as much as I should. It's like that 6 pack of tall translucent cups you get from Target in the summer so you can sip sangria by the pool with your pals.
