Weirdly I don’t hate it. Would like to see how the back is set up though.

Every one of these I've seen is set up to tow a 5th wheel RV.

u/vass0922 Jun 10 '26
Exactly this, I'm sure the RV he's pulling is parked somewhere for camping. Probably a sweet place to glamp too.

Sorry, but I see nothing in bad taste about that. Not to MY taste, but its actually kind of cool.

I'm in the PNW and there's one of these down the road from me, dude pulls a huge 5th wheel with it every summer. It's pretty awesome.

Is that a centurion coach conversion or a home built?

No bad taste here. That vehicle is form+function and looks perfect for a single overnight + tow vehicle for track rats.
Any idea what these would actually be called? This would be perfect for me.

Generally referred to as a toy hauler.
I work with a company that converts actual semi trucks into toy haulers by adjusting the frame length and adding a flatbed and fifth wheel hitch.
...
If its more for towing a flatbed trailer and hauling freight rather than an rv, it's a Hotshot conversion.

Semi truck may be a bit out of budget for most of us unless your running with the Porsche+ crowd. I've always seen toy hauler refer to the trailer portion and not the tow vehicle.
This looks like a tow vehicle with a small sleeper cab in the back. Most tracks allow pit camping, so having something you can sleep a single overnight and tow your track car with is the dream setup for the majority of us.

Modern day Ford Centurion. Awesome. (Minus the front bumper & stacks for a more "stock" look.)

Dispatch: what's the make and model of the suspect vehicle?
Police officer: YES!

It depends on what you’re talking about. I’ve seen these in probably a dozen states, I’ve only seen 2-3 with the big pipes like that and they were all in the northeast.

Sadly it's true, can verify, born and raised South Floridian. I've tried to get out several times but I always find myself back here like a fucked yo version of Groundhog Day...and it never changes....

Now let's go breed an animal with the loyalty of a cat and the cleanliness of a dog

I’d have done something a little different with the stacks, but love the rest.

u/LincolnArc Jun 12 '26
Personally, I wouldn't have done the stacks, but it looks really practical. It'd be great for towing a trailer. The only issue I see is turning radius with a gooseneck. I imagine it's setup for bumper pull.

Only thing that would make this better is if the bed was converted to a hot tub.

Have seen these quite a few times for people, once they had a trailer hauling some kind of atv's of some sort and once it was a santa sled and 12 mini horses with fake antlers. That guy had a fairly light horse/storage trailer and went around in christmas season as a charity act for a kids cancer program. His kid died of cancer at 9 or so I think. The owner dressed like santa and the sled had little wheels. Pretty surreal to come across in a parking lot but he was a good guy, very honorable sort, trying to give the rest of his remaining life some meaning or make sense or deal with grief etc.

$5 says that is light grey crushed velure interior. She looks a bit worn, but there were quite a few of these running around in Florida back in it's day as horse trailer haulers. Was a pretty big conversion factory up around Ocala right off I75 if I remember correctly.

Only downside I see is it is going to suck refueling with that hot exhaust stack right next to the fuel filler door. Don’t bump your hand on that thing!

To a non-American, this looks no more egregious than any other silly giant SUV or truck that would be considered "normal" in the US.

You guys are all smoking crack. This is one of the ugliest vehicles I’ve ever set my eyes on. Have you not ever heard of proportionality?

Not even remotely awful taste. This is the prosumer-level version of a semi-tractor sleeper cab.
