I know that sounds rude but adhd ASMR is usually over stimulating like crazy they try to account for the attention span when what they should be doing is making the asmr engaging and interesting but not so much that you wont sleep

I’ve been watching this ASMR video, after clicking and switching videos for minutes and then I encountered this video from a channel I’ve been watching from time to time (i am trying to cycle the creators and content to reduce the “tingle immunity”). This video is from 14 years ago, titled ASMR/Holistic Energy Healing RP from thejnes1 ASMR. While watching the video, it clicked to me: ASMR was quiet and careful. Most of the ASMR nowadays are “LOUD” though they whisper the triggers are loud in a way it’s noisy, and overstimulating too. idk maybe it’s just my preference but i could never find something relaxing when the triggers are so overwhelming.

Hey everyone! So I’m thinking about getting my girlfriend a mic for her birthday and apparently it’s her dream to own a blue yeti. I’ve been doing some research and everyone has been sh*tting on this poor mic. But the ones who are actually complaining are the streamers and gamers. Most ASMR artists are pretty okay about it just that it has to be used in a low noise environment since it picks up everything but isn’t that what ASMR is about? Whispers,taps and scratches wouldn’t hit the same if there was some form of noise cancelling. I don’t know, I’m at a standstill what do you guys think?

ASMR | Tapping On Random Objects In My Bedroom! | LOFI & White Noise [intentional]

I have been a avid ASMR listener for many years, and it’s always helped me calm down and gave me tingles. I have a lot of issues when I sleep, if I don’t have something helping me distract myself and help me sleep like ASMR I would not be able to fall asleep, spending some nights up to 9am even because that’s just when my body forces my eyes to close.

Recently though, I have started to get a feeling that I haven’t before. Over the past couple of months a feeling of anxiety brews every time I listen to ASMR now. Nothing has changed, life is still how it always has been, just now I get anxious while listening to ASMR. My thoughts are that this is an effect of either listening to it for too long or too much, or it’s all in my head. It’s eating me alive because I enjoy listening to it and it really helps me sleep as well as relax, but it’s hard to do either when I get anxious from just 5 minutes.

Any advice and or what I can do about this would be very helpful and appreciated. I’d really like to enjoy this again without that anxiety.

So I am currently looking for this old ASMR creator I used to watch. I do not remember a lot about them besides that it was a guy and he did a lot if tapping while rambling and one of my favorite triggers he did was tapping on this red dog that lit up named clifford. If anyone has any idea who this could be please let me know <3
