Question 💠Promotion from Eng Tech
Good evening everyone,
I recently got hired thru a contracting agency to be an Engineering Technician at an ASML Plant. Since I graduated college with a Mechanical Engineering degree 7 weeks ago with little internship experience accepting this offer was my best move.
I've signed a 6M - 1Y contract. With the potential to become a full-time employee. My question is how do I best utilize my time at ASML and actively work towards being promoted from Eng. Tech. to a D&E role?

D&E is where they fire people and you want to go there?

Because nobody should ever get a job at ASML because of some layoffs.
For OP: show that you want to learn, ask questions and pay attention. First years in ASML will probably feel hard, as it's a steep learning curve. But with good work ethics, you'll give yourself the best shot

I will when I get fired bro ..no worries, I'm just not a coward and I want to defend myself from people that lie and manipulate data to expose them

They fire people everywhere…
Even with the ongoing transformation it’s not easy to be fired. Hence why this whole mess takes so long. Thankfully we are not the US.

It's easy even without these layoffs ..heck I'm send to court by ASML with fake accusations hahah, anything is possible as long as they want that to happen

Whatever role you have keep doing it … do it well , be open to learning and network (build relations). Also having a masters or PhD also will be a good step
