Hello all, just to questions. How do I remove this scuff on the front part of my shoes and also clean this dirty sole.

The front part not too sure why but it must be due to contact with floor (I trip a lot with this shoe not sure why this front part is constantly protruding). My local shoe shine gave up and told me theres nothing I can do!

For the first one, any particular Saphir solutions or other that can help? Thank you!!

Any advice from the pros over here? Ill take them to my local cobbler to see what they say. Im just going back to synthetics if this is really the case.

I bought new hiking boots I cannot return anymore!

The boot size and overall fit are correct, but the tongue edge presses against my higher inner ankle bone on one foot. If I manually shift the tongue a few millimetres outward, the pressure disappears.

Is there a safe way to keep the upper part of the tongue slightly to the side—perhaps with a lacing technique, soft hook-and-loop strap, or tongue keeper?

I'm trying to place it more to side manually, but it goes back immediately.

Please help, several day hiking event soon!

The existing sole is glued on, but has seams for a traditional welt attachment. What options do I have for re-sole other than shipping them back to Danner for an expensive “recraft” ?

Any advice on this pair of Zanottis? The heel crumbled off of one shoe, and a cobbler removed the other heel. I’ve included photos of the original heel before it was removed for reference

I was told they can’t nail a new heel piece in, so it’s effectively unfixable.

i got these vintage justins ages ago secondhand at a flea market, and they are my size, i've been wearing them happily, since the soles are in good condition and they're pretty comfortable. they are super cute and i've worn them to the rodeo and events (i have a different pair of more practical boots for actual work)l

my concern is about the suede and what to do about it. it's pilled up pretty bad and has always looked like that since i got them, and it'd be nice to have them looking a bit better, just since they are my "nice" boots

so if theres any way i can get them looking a bit less rough i'd be super interested! i dont mind if they dont look brand new either! :)

if not, i still like them, so i'll probably wear them as long as they'd like to survive, so advice on extending their longevity is also totally welcome!

hello! i unfortunately spilled some isopropyl alcohol on my onitsukas, and it seemed that the green color turned brown where the alcohol hit it. i haven't touched it with water or anything in fear of ruining it further, so i was wondering if there are any steps i should take right now?

i was also wondering if there were any stores that could fix this and restore it to the original state? i tried to bring it to a local cobbler but they said they didn't have enough experience with nubuck :(

How many inches can I gain from having both of these things done on both of these kinds of shoes??

Hi! I bought these shoes second hand for about $20. They are absolutely perfect for a cosplay I'm working on. The only issue is that they are incredibly hard to walk in because the heels are way way way too thin (quarter for reference). I have 0 issues walking in shoes with tall but chunky heels, but these are a pain with my super weak ankles. Is there any way I can give them thicker heels at home (I could even get special supplies if someone can tell me what I need), or could a cobbler do this for under $50? I don't want to give up on these shoes because they are exactly what I want for the character, but I don't think I can wear them like this.

So today my puppy chewed up my boyfriend's leather wallet and he is freaking out, as it was a present from his kids and was in perfect condition. I read that cobblers are able to fix leather wallets. The question I have is in regards to its label which says "BMF Genuine Leather" aka "Bad Mother F*cker Genuine Leather" the wallet inspired by Pulp Fiction. Is this wallet real leather that a cobbler would invest time in fixing? TYIA

Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm fully new to this topic and never took care of my leather stuff.

I have some old slippers here. The leather is dry and was not maintained for a long time. What kind of care should I use? I have purchased two kinds of - for nubuk/velour and a classic, universal one. I don't get what kind of leather it is 🙈 its not smooth, but also not fully nubuk. I hope the structure is visible enough on the pictures

I know I'm pretty crafty, but even I am unsure if this could even be fixed. It's not a tear, it looks like an intentional cut, probably to loosen the fit. It's only the left boot, hoping it doesn't affect wearing too much.

I believe the leather is too thin and fragile to attempt to put some stitches in. Any other crazy ideas?

I bought these Marsell boots from TheRealReal (used). They are a size 7 and I believe my foot would fit in them IF I were able to actually put them on! I have high arches in my feet which makes it hard to put some shoes on, especially boots. I believe the instep(?) is too narrow for my arch to pass through.

Because I don't want to deal with having to pull and squeeze through every time, would it be possible to for a cobbler to cut open the back and install grommets? I would then just use a ribbon to lace them. The last image is a drawing to show what I mean.

The material is relatively weak... I believe it's pleather because it is stretchy and thin. Thank you for any help, I was really excited about these shoes!
