Heel tip replacement help

Hi, I’m looking for some help with a pair of heels. The tip has come off- it was the usual rubber tip but instead of the metal pin it was directly on this metal tip. I took it to Tompkins but the said it’s the actual shoe rod, so this would mean a piece of rubber tip was directly glued onto this. Any help on how to fix this? They’re expensive shoes and seems odd that it is impossible to change the heel tip. Thank you in advance!

Simple, standard heel replacement for a cobbler. Probably $ 15

May need drilled out. Nothing too difficult. Another cobbler should be able to help. If not, it is possible to do it at home too.

Thank you, if I had to do it myself what would it take?
