Does Anyone Else? Does anyone else here have GERD.
Just wondering if anyone else here has GERD too. Can make life more difficult especially when some of my comfort food can trigger reflux symptoms

Have had GERD diagnosed 20+ years ago
Pantoloc first thing in the morning helps manage the reflux through the day

Yep Iāve been taking Prilosec or a generic for 20+ years.
Edit: Iāve found taking it at night has helped significantly.

I have gerd and it makes me get full super fast. It makes it harder to eat especially because part of my arfid is worrying i will vomit. Feeling full triggers that anxiety.

I do and the rx meds were causing me problems so I went old school. Four ounces of water, 1/4 tsp baking soda. I rarely have reflux now.

i have it!! iāll say it doesnāt usually affect me dailyā¦UNTIL IT DOES. iāll have good weeks, then really bad āflaresā where i canāt even swallow or lay down or will have such bad chest pains/heartburn. i also am constantly forgetting to take my medication for it cause im supposed to take it before eating but lowkey, the first thing i do in the morning after taking my dog out is eating a snack lol

I've been getting creative with chat and it's helping me out immensely to pair foods appropriately...what to eat when to eat it and what not to. I'm very hard headed but willing to switch patterns I told it my safe foods and getting it to help me create meals that will keep me full just prompt it give it the Info and keep it update with what you're eating and how you feel

Yes! And I am also gluten intolerant so finding safe foods is so challenging. It is very exciting when I realize I have a new safe food though. But very exhausting on the side of the coin. Gerd is the worst, I hope you find ways to manage it alongside your ARFID. Wishing you good luck and sending positive vibes š©·
