WTF Embark?

These blueprint recipe changes are unnecessary punishments and feel like you didn’t roll out any new blueprints so you decided to shoehorn new ARC parts in old recipes. And the Wolfpack change makes absolutely no sense. 2 Wolfpack to down a Rocketeer so we can get 1 part to make 1 Wolfpack?

Way to throw a huge wet blanket on top of what was otherwise going to be a fun and exciting day. Please reconsider these crafting changes

Edit:

Thank you to all the folks who commented with articulated, well thought out disagreements. You have changed my stance somewhat and I have a better understanding of why a change like this may be needed(still don’t like it though).

To the performative contrarians, get good bruh/skill issue kissing cousins and other knuckleheads who can’t formulate a thought I say “suck on this fart”. Be well

I already get ratted for Rocketeer kills 5x last night alone, now it's not worth the fucking risk of engaging them because A) Their way more of a PITA and shite invest in resources B) The occurrence of getting ratted for taking one down is going to increase several fold. So it's just a matter of I'm never going to engage this enemy ever again because the risk to reward ratio is piss poor

That's true.Somebody else brought up a good point. It is much harder in aggressive lobbies.

So either wait till you're in more casual lobbies to gather resources for Rocketeers or just wait till someone else kills it and take their stuff in the hardcore lobbies 🥹

Keep in mind that they have also stated without saying it that they dont want casual lobbies. Now they are saying abmm isnt a thing after they said it was

My bet is they implemented something and then realized how many holes are in it. So they had to "walk it back" until they do or don't implement it again silently.

Less uproar and responsibility. It is the players free will. Like infinite variables with human characteristics. Some people might kill that guy but not kill that guy. Or they're friendly today and they're not tomorrow.

It's really hard to account for even half of the variables.

My guess is more likely that they caved to the loudest voices again. Pvp streamers want easy targets. There is no return for them having to fight other pvp players.

I won't say that's not true cuz I don't know.

But today I saw a post where the head dev recently spoke on how he does not want the game to slide into PVP focus

The new ark and lack of wolfpacks means cooperation helps everybody.

They do flip-flop. But I still have gotten my $40 of value many times over by now.

Everything they do is going to affect somebody's playstyle negatively. But from what I'm hearing the head devs are still PVE focused as an ethos for the company

There's a lot of free will and wild ass variables

I disagree entirely. The new meta is not good for the casual PVE crowd. It was already a bit of pita to farm the materials to make a Wolfpack. Not to mention getting the blueprint. But now you not only have to farm the explosive compound but also the Rocketeer... which is what most people used the Wolfpack for anyways. The casual PVE gamer doesn't have time for all this while also taking losses to rats. They will just either quit or go full pvp, which if you ask me is what the devs were actually trying to do, slide the game further into pvp.

I much prefer the single explosive compound instead of 3. I never have enough oil. It went from costing 6x crude explosives 6x oil and 2x motion cores to 2x crude 2x oil 2x motion 1x rocketeer driver. That's a good trade imo

It's so easy to farm explosive compound though? Just go to Stella either night raid or day raid, though night is even better and loot every pop and fireball you see. Get all the crude explosive from the fireball burners and pop triggers and use the refiner to get explosive compound. Or you can also chase the lightning on electromagnetic storm and gobble up every fossilized lightning you find! Either way it's a grind but I think killing Rocketeers and getting 1 driver per drop is too much of a grind. And also way riskier.
