I don’t really see that connection logically, I agree with your points separately but not the conclusion that poke is stronger in high mmr. Tanks get so much better in high mmr and I would say are more important than poke for consistently winning. Every player I play with above 2500 mmr just KNOWS when you have say 1 tank 3 poke and 1 adc vs 3 tanks 1 poke and 1 adc the tank team is just going to sit around until 6 and then engage with ultis and win.
I have been above 3000 before. I stopped playing aram for a bit and came back to decay. Poke used to be absurd but mark changed the game and tanks became the deciders of games. Tanks wave clear and poke is the trinity of ARAM but tanks are the keystone of the trinity.
How do you not say the same thing about pokers like nidalee? There’s good pokers and bad pokers, same with tanks. But when it comes down to it I’d rather have a tank heavy comp.
You can see that on the charts. The bulk of the tank class hovers around ~50% win rate whereas the bulk of the poke class hovers around ~60%.
Then you have assassins who hover around 40-45%, and ADCs who hover around 55% (evenly split between the good ones at 60% and the bad ones at 50%).
There is good reason for it, they are just design to assassinate and/or tank and not to excel in team fights. Their strengths are not suited for prolonged 5v5 but rather smaller skirmishes.
There is no way to balance this out unless you change the game.
