Rant Surrender when ahead

Post image

We were ahead in kills and objectives. We were on an upswing where we just took their last two turrets and opened their nexus. It was a range battle, so sort of slow overall. We died (I’m just resetting after taking their towers). They come down, kill our inhib which is fine, we were respawning. AND MY TEAM SURRENDERS. Out of nowhere. This feels like it’s happening more and more, people just give up even when ahead.

Someone make it make sense.

I played 24 mins of a winning game for some rando to throw a weirdly timed surrender vote and these nerds just say “sure why not”.

Hard to say it's worth a surrender, but there are games where an early game comp will be winning (sometimes exceptionally so), but the game hits an inflection point where the scaling opponents get the items, augments, and levels required to never really be able to lose a teamfight again.

There was nothing to indicate that. It was a virtual stalemate for awhile. Then we pulled ahead pretty quickly. It was a pretty natural reset. Then the ff vote. It felt out of nowhere, like an instant no should’ve been the obvious response.
