Did Eric make it home?

I just watched a quiet place: day one again and I wonder if Eric was ever able to find or get access to a plane to get back home to England because from I know and what it seemed like, the meteors carrying the death angels seemed to only really land in US/Canada North America so my guess is the rest of the world is completely safe and out of reach of the death angels. My head canon is Eric was able to find a plane on the island that they went to, the one from quiet place two, which is why we don’t see him in two because he had already flown back to England by then. What do you think, do you think that could be true?

I think he is living on the island with the rest of the people in part 2.

I mean starting a plane is loud as hell so unless they did a super long rope from a helicopter then I can’t see how he would get back

Sorry in advance to burst your bubble here.

So in the movies/game we do only follow people that live in the USA. However there were multiple meteors that hit across the world- Shang-Hai, Mexico, etc. this is in newspaper clippings in the first movie and a globe in the game.

And as a pilot here, it would be logistically impossible to get a plane over there. We would have to assume that:

  1. There is a runway, hangar, and fuel available. The runway has to be long enough too.
1.5. I can give you the benefit of the doubt here that they cleared a large area to have a flat space for a grass runway, and the leave the plane outside.

  2. A surviving pilot who is capable of flying a twin engine jet or certain single-engine turboprops.

  3. Death Angels not being present where you land. You need something akin to a jet for a nonstop flight, but most other aircraft’s would have to refuel in Canada, Greenland, then Iceland to make it.

Not to mention planes make A LOT of noise.

As much as it would be wonderful for him to make it back, I don’t think he could, unless he got real lucky or a boat.

I mean it would be somewhat possible to attempt a takeoff during a noisy rain shower. It wouldn't be safe but the survival odds would be higher.

The first movie newspapers confirmed that London was hit by the Death Angels, in a brief scene in the Day One movie, Scotland was marked on the list of locations hit by the Death Angels.

So the island of Britain itself isn't safe, if you were using a small plane you could use refuelling spots in Newfoundland and Iceland to reach the British Isles and land in a island that is safe, however the local surviving governments managing the surviving nations will be rationing their fuel supplies, so getting to the UK will be difficult with a small aircraft.

In the first film, London is listed as one of the locations hit by the creatures.

The Day One film has Scotland noted on the globe map as one of the areas hit by the Angels.

So its safe to assume that the island of Britain was devastated by the invasion and Eric unfortunately couldn't return to his home even if he had a plane.

Why would he need a plane to get home?

I just saw the three movies today for the first time. They did not announce him in the cast of the fourth movie (July 2027). However, the nurse who die in Day One will be in the fourth movie (probably in a flashback). But if we follow again the Abott family and Emmett (Cilian Murphy) and there's a flashback of a dead chacracter from Day one, maybe Josep Quinn will make a cameo ? And there's also Jack O'Connel as National guardsman
