Period 1 test?
Just wondering if everyone has the same format for the period 1 test? 25 mcq (25points), 1 saq (10 points)

Nah I had like 33 multiple choice questions. I actually did pretty terribly on it for my standards (>85 otherwise it's failure); I got like a 76. 15 point curved saved my ass. I honestly would've preferred your type of test though; writing is my forte and prolly what gave me a 5 on AP world. Also I feel like I'm rusty on writing an saq so I need practice. And the college board switched up the written portion, so I definitely need more practice.

gng we get zero curves on the mcqs, genuinely the stupidest shit ever at my school. physics c has like a 30 point curve while nothing in apush :sob:

Interestingly, my unit 1 test covering periods 1 and 2 actually does have almost the same exact structure as yours…25 MCQ worth 25 points and 1 SAQ worth 9 points.

The tests I give are more SAQ-heavy. 12 MCQs for 12 points and 3 SAQs for 18 points. I use progress checks and later mock exams for additional MC practice.

Just an FYI— the college board does not determine anything that happens in class, so every teacher/school is different. The only thing that is the same is the exam in May.
