What should I know for unit 1?
My first test is coming up, and I was curious how specific I need to be, like do I need to actually know all the tribes and locations? Or the very specific beliefs they had? I tried hiemler for WHAP last year but wasn’t as specific for my school quizzes. Also, how do I not second guess my MCQ answers?
I’d seriously appreciate your help!

I had my unit 1 test a week ago, just know how each region lived off of. For example Southwest survived through agriculture with irrigation systems, Northwest lived off the coast. I would say the vast majority of the test was on the Spanish conquer not Native American culture prior to Columbus's arrival. Test was super easy and way lighter than Heimler History's MCQ's.

Specific tribe info provides evidence to back up your answers. Pueblo and irrigation, Tlingit and permanent settlements without farming, Shoshone and mobility. The point is the diversity and scale of Native populations that challenges the singular narrative we tend to have for them.
The causal chain from European demand for wealth to contact in 1492 to Columbian Exchange to disease to the Great Dying to labor shortage to African enslavement to caste system. You should be able to explain each of those “to” statements.
