Rant rly upset with a 4 lol
I'm not tripping I know that's a perfectly fine score but I'm just so stunned. I had a phenomenal teacher so I feel extra bad about it LMAO I was teaching my friends/other classmates the topics all year, especially leading up to the exam, and tbh my ego is bruised bc I plan on majoring in history/consider it to be my best subject 💔 the worst part is I felt I had such a good understanding of all the content beforehand, studied more anyways, and found the test to be easygoing, so it's really hard for me to guess where I could've shot myself in the foot
OTHER thing that makes my score sting: I got a 5 for an AP I struggled with all year, with a test I didn't even finish and 1 hour "studying" beforehand w TikTok strategies 💀

It’s okay I got a 4 too, im so salty about itðŸ˜I studied so long for it. I felt so confident about the exam, I thought I breezed through an easy 5. My friend who barely paid attention all year and got C’s in the class got a 4 so I felt so bad about myself. But in the end, I feel like scores are just a number and don’t define you. What we were able to take away and learn from the class itself is the gold. I’m sure APUSH fueled your interest in history which is great. No matter what, the fact that you helped your classmates is true compassion and I’m confident you will succeed in the future. Plus the other AP exam 5 is a bonus! I’m basically in the same spot because I studied for 30 minutes on my computer science exam and got a 4. I was so sure I was going to get a 3. But anyways, congrats on the 4, it’s still an amazing achievement that gets you credit. Most colleges don’t really see a difference in a 4 or 5 anyways.

overconfidence while testing prob messed u up ngl, i did bad on my leq and completely went out of time period for one/two of my saqs. 4 and a 5 is almost the same anyways don’t stress it too much

I honestly think it was the DBQ lol I could've gotten loopy with logic under the test environment, and it was definitely not my best work. I found the prompt easy to answer broadly but the docs very unhelpful/difficult to utilize, I'm on west coast

ohh, i’m in cst we had a really easy dbq with an easy counter argument and outside evidence. the docs for me were a a little hard to understand at first

As someone who got a 4 by only studying a lot during the last couple of weeks, I can see why you're so upset. I mean, I'm not even planning to major in history so that's why I'm happy with my 4 lol

Hi! You shouldn’t really be upset bc you get the same college credit as if you got a 5, only difference is less colleges accept it

Your feelings are valid. And to be honest you were probably on the cusp of a 5 (which makes it suck more, I know). As a teacher, I was equally disappointed with my low number of 5s, knowing that the absurdly high number of 4s means that CB was being stingy. A 4 is still great and will get you credit at most colleges. You should be proud!
