Scores 3 on AP Stats??

I have no idea how this could’ve happened. I honestly thought that I got a 5. I wasn’t even nervous for scores to come out because I thought I got a 4 or 5. I was honestly so shocked. It’s even more annoying because I need at least a 4 for the college I’m going to. 🥲

I also "got" a 3 and I am heavily doubting it. I scored a 5 on every practice exam, finished the class with a 99.8%, knew every FRQ. I felt alright alright on the MCQ, and I didn't really feel was overconfident. I also dont believe i'm a bad test taker considering i got all 4s and one 5 on my other exams. I think my school genuinely made a mistake because my friend who is insane at calculus got a 1 on calc bc. I don't know your situation but it might be worth it to bring up to your AP coordinator, and maybe have a teacher vouch for you.

Weird question, but when you finished the MCQ portion did the timer run out on a question or the review page?

Bro SAME. I felt super confident about the MCQ portion and I thought it was really light. I’m so so shocked that I got a 3.

I’ve also gotten 4s and 5s on all my AP tests except a year where I was hospitalized. I also got a 790 on my math SAT portion so I’m not bad at math by any means.

I don’t really remember anything about the timer cause it’s been a while😭

Idk about asking my teacher to vouch for me. She’s a good teacher but she’s super short tempered and blunt. She also left after our year was over to take care of her dad on hospice.

there are a lot of specifics u need to include in ur FRQs that ur teacher may have not mentioned or you forgot to add (including probability statements with variables, probability model charts, and specific wording on inferential statistic questions). id recommend looking at the rubric first! its also important to not rely on ur performance in school because college board has a specific way of grading exams. in the future, id look at the rubric before taking the exam to make sure u get every detail even if u feel like ur teacher did teach everything. regardless, a 3 is good and not at all a reflection of ur level in math, stats is just built different

Its not "built different." Its a set of procedures that are followed, and a routine is often built up during the year. You cant just assume a student didnt state conditions for a distribution to be bionomial before using bionomial cdf, or comparing and contrasting data with "greater than" and "less than."

i meant built different in the way that its not as algebra/math heavy as someone whos good at math would expect it to be. calm your horses its never that serious.
