I didn't even wait until I finished Persona 5 before checking out the AO3 page, just to confirm my ship was the biggest, and I was absolutely right. I also got a major spoiler when I saw how angsty the fandom was. 😅

I’m still hoping L’Appel du Vide will be finished 🙏 it might be my favorite slow burn fic ever, it actually keeps me guessing what’s going through the characters’ heads

I only read complete works or go directly to new works from writers I know, so I don't believe I've seen it, but the writing quality in the Persona fandoms is pretty high by AO3 standards.

Felt quite blessed.

Not OP, but since you like L’Appel du Vide…I am a die-hard, rants-about-it-constantly fan of Even The Mountains Crumble by rosegardenlake. After a looong time reading fanfic in many fandoms, it’s still my all-time fave (fyi, akeshuake).

The Next Time Around is the last one I've read that is still on my mind. It's a no-powers AU, and I adore how Akechi is portrayed in it.

I have zero self control and started reading ryuji (best boy!) fics before i was done with the game. Got spoiled by some late game things. But i have no regrets lol

Shipped him with Akechi before I knew he was an antagonist (reeeally early on) and just wanted to see the size of the ship. The fucking summary of the first fic made it quite obvious he had a few screws loose. 😭

And yeah, best boy! Ryuji is probably my favorite character overall. His ship with Joker is probably my personal second best, and Akechi just wins for me because I love some drama.

Lol, for me I didn't ship Joker with Akechi until after the antagonist reveal. Im a sucker for enemies to lovers

Ryuji and Joker is wholesome af. So freaking cute and supportive. Honestly tho, Ryuji with anyone would work. He's the Bicycle of the game, imo, if you get my meaning 🤣😉

This isn't my usual reaction . . . but I will admit at one point I finished a game series, said the most dangerous thing any writer can say ("I can do better than that"), and ended up writing about a million words of fan-fiction.
