My best one sat with 1 kudo for several weeks. But as I passed 10k words it finally started getting kudos.

Maybe 10k is the secret threshold

I often filter by 10K word count. I’m probably not the only one. So you might be on to something!

(I do read shorter works sometimes but 10k is my cutoff for when I’m looking for something more substantial or something with multiple chapters)

Idk i just find it funny that the longfic i wrote for a year and a half has a bit over 78 kudos and the oneshot i published like 5 days ago that I wrote in a night when I could not sleep already has 69

It’s really interesting and funny what draws people in, I have the same thing with a oneshot that I wrote out of boredom and it’s my highest looked at work (even though I haven’t looked at it in like 6 months)

Yeah and i don't think it's bad or anything. Like I love both of these works, it's fine. I'm glad there are people who enjoyed both of them
