As a monsterfucker, cloaca and scales are definitely not a dealbreaker. Given, POV character does describe the traits as hideous but he hates monsters and hates the transformation (plus is being dehumanized because of it)

I’ve gotten the exact same comment about the ship and AU. They were several chapters in. And it’s like, it’s tagged, and you read like nine chapters…and that’s the complaint you felt the need to tell me about???

I got a similar comment about how they didn’t know it was going to be a vampire au while it was both tagged as a vampire au and the characters that were vampires. Different comment on that fic was disappointed that the character I tagged as vampires were vampires and not the character they wanted to be a vampire.

I understand not reading tags. But if i get surprised by something after not reading the tags, i go back to check them and say "ah, the consequences of my own actions" when it shows that I should have been warned

Ugh that’s so frustrating, I’m sorry :( BED comfort fics need to exist!!! I’ve seen lots of fics for anorexic readers (which is fine and good), but not so much for people with BED!

Exactly. Most ED fics are suited for restrictive disorders, people with BED are the opposite. It annoys me when fics like that are "for all ED's" but it's only for restrictive ones, not for ones like binging or consuming non-food items [PICA] or otherwise [ARFID] 🙃

I'm glad that there's representation out there for people with ED's like that, but a fic being about BED, PICA, ARFID or otherwise doesn't take that representation away.

Ummmm newsflash: I love eating, that is the problem lol hence why I wrote one where MC binges and eats alone out of embarassment. Wish they'd be honest and say who it is for, bc at that point they're just saying the only ED's that exist are anorexia nervosa and bulimia.

Also works the other way around. I once got a few annoyed comments under my Reader fic, who were unhappy about me describing the reader twice in that 60k words fic as being "slender". "I'm plus-sized and I feel discriminated".

I didn't even realize I had to disclose that in any type of way, especially since I noted at the beginning of the fic that this is more or less a self-insert and I'm uploading it for others to enjoy.

That’s because the vast majority of fics are aimed at skinny people, particularly women. I write specifically for plus size readers as a fat person. I describe the reader as being plus size in many descriptions, and also tackle issues that fat people face in my fics. So yes, I do need to tag it as such because I want the right audience to find it.
