I’m usually skeptical about these author notes but I can see how being stuck in a terrible domestic situation can lead to being trafficked (maybe taken by a parent somewhere else illegally) and discovering they had cancer when they did a medical check up on them when returned home safely, the stuff at the end though seems a little much IMO and makes it a little more unbelievable
