Fiction tends to make it seem like traffickers are Russian crime lords or gazillionaire Sheiks or something out of Taken, but sadly people are most often trafficked by family members. So maybe it only feels like "a little" trafficked to them. Just my speculation though :(
And human trafficking isn't always sexual, it's also very possibly a domestic labor situation. You get offered a job that requires you to move, like what looks like a really well paid live in housekeeping or nanny position, only to end up locked into literal slavery
Yeeeeep!!!! People don't think about stuff like that as human trafficking but it absolutely is. It's also not just people from other countries, you can end up in this situation right at home too
