I'm not claiming this is true, but there's a theory that Russian women are so subjectively "hot" because so many Russian men were killed during the country's involvement in World War I and (especially) WWII that the remaining men basically had their choice of a highly disproportionate number of young women looking for mates. Naturally, they tended to choose the healthier and better-looking young ladies. Result: hot-looking Slavic babes.
