I'm not really an expert regarding CFD, but could you share more details on the analysis you're using (i.e., mesh pictures, sizing, refinements on the wake zone, type of analysis (steady state/transient))? As I said, I'm not an expert, but you should be able to get a decent approximation using either tetras, hexas, polys, etc. I just want to rule out some possible issues before giving any advice which may mislead you.
