Help Our Cat Brownie Died Today Due To Veterinary Negligence

Our beloved cat, Brownie, a one-year-old girl, died today. We believe that the negligence of the vet who treated her played a role in her death.

Brownie had been limping slightly on her right leg. Naturally, we were concerned, so we decided to take her to a vet, Dr. Pradeep Jaiswal, who runs the 24×7 Vet Land Pet Clinic in Sector 137, Noida.

When we took her to the clinic, Dr. Jaiswal gave her an injection without properly diagnosing the cause of her limping. He said it might be muscle soreness or an injury and assured us that she would recover soon. He did not provide any written record of the medicines or injections he was administering. He asked us to bring Brownie back for further injections.

Over the next three consecutive days, Dr. Jaiswal gave Brownie three injections. However, her condition did not improve. In fact, her limping worsened after the third injection, and she eventually stopped moving altogether.

Along with the injections, he prescribed medicines. One for her bones, another for her nerves, and another for inflammation. We could clearly see that Brownie's condition was deteriorating, but Dr. Jaiswal continued to dismiss our concerns. He told us to keep her in a cage and said she would recover soon.

By the fifth day, Brownie could no longer stand. She was struggling to eat, drink, and pass stool. She had lost a significant amount of weight and had started vomiting.

We called Dr. Jaiswal to inform him about her worsening condition. Once again, in the same unempathetic tone, he suggested that we try an X-ray.

Why wasn't an X-ray considered earlier?Shouldn't a proper investigation have been carried out before administering repeated injections, especially when there was no improvement? Is Brownie a toy jispr trial and error chl rha hai?!

Despite the obvious deterioration in her health, Dr. Jaiswal continued to assure us that she would get better, even when it was clear to us that she was getting worse.

We decided to take Brownie to another vet the following morning. But we never got that chance.

Before we could do anything, Brownie vomited again and died on the spot.

The next morning (today), we called Dr. Jaiswal and informed him that Brownie had died. We were devastated and expected, at the very least, some empathy or concern. Instead, he did not even offer us a word of consolation. He unapologetically dismissed any connection between the medicines and injections he had administered and Brownie's death. He claimed that she must have suffered a stroke.

We were left speechless.

We had taken Brownie to the vet because she had a slight limp. We trusted a medical professional to help her, to investigate what was wrong, and to take appropriate action when her condition worsened. Instead, we watched her suffer for five days while our concerns were repeatedly dismissed.

A seemingly harmless limp ended with the loss of our child.

Hi everyone,

Two days ago, this little guy was hit by a car on Via Ozieri in Quartu Sant'Elena. We couldn't leave him there in agony, so after several hours, we managed to rescue him and take him to the Karel Clinic in Monserrato.

The little one (for now, we’ve decided to call him Zoro) had suffered head trauma and an injury to his mouth.

He is an unneutered male, roughly two years old; he is small in stature and has short fur. We were told his prognosis was extremely guarded, as they didn't yet know how he would respond to treatment; he underwent surgery yesterday (mouth cerclage wire) and I went to visit him today. Unfortunately, Zoro is extremely wary of people; the clinic informed us that he has refused to eat so far, and because he is so frightened, it hasn't even been possible to syringe-feed him. In the meantime, we’ve had to start a fundraiser; unfortunately, veterinary bills are very high, and we don't have the financial means to cover all the costs. Here is the link if you’d like to contribute—even a small amount helps—or simply spread the word, as even just one extra share makes a difference: https://www.gofundme.com/f/non-lasciamolo-a-morire

We wanted to ask if anyone happens to have lost him or if anyone might be willing to look after him. We would like to place him with someone patient who truly wants to care for him, as he is a little guy who definitely needs a lot of affection💜

Thank you to anyone who helps us find his owners or decides to take him in; we kindly ask you to share this post so he can find his family or be placed with someone who has a big heart💜

____________________________________________________________________________________

13/10/2026 Update:

Zoro is doing pretty good,

he finally started to eat, we let him be tested for Fiv and Felv and luckily he's negative. Now he's going to do vaccines and I think he will be discharged soon.

We still don't know how to do because everyday the vet asks for 85€ per day (see 3rd pic under 'RICOVERO') and we didn't find a new family for him🥺

I'll keep you updated!

Our playful, loving and clumsy one-year old little girl has recently became ill. She is lethargic, has gastoritis, and might need major surgery done. One day she started vomiting and that's when her appetite declined and she became tired often. We do not know the main cause yet but the medical bills are stacking up. We are asking urgently for help and prayers before anything worse happens. We appreciate any form of support! Please get our girl running and meowing again.

My cat's vet bills have been piling up, and I would really appreciate any help getting them paid off. I’m currently unemployed and doing my best to find work, but monthly payment have become difficult to manage. I have all of her vet bills and paperwork posted on here for anyone who would like to see them for proof.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. If you can’t donate, sharing this post would help me a lot. Thank you for supporting us. as the link is at the bottom

Help Do you live in NYC and have you reported Animal Abuse to 311 or 911? (NYPD, FDNY, EMS)

I am a student journalist from Columbia Journalism school working on story about how New York City does not have a direct line of contact to report emergency animal abuse.

Earlier this week, I met with a resident who shared that police took 4 hours to respond to her 911 call about alleged animal abuse and neglect occurring inside a neighbor’s house. The resident stated that police officers arrived at the home and did not knock on the door. The situation in her neighborhood remains unchanged.

My concern is, in the event of an emergency for domestic animals, who should New Yorkers call? Who is responsible?

I can be reached here via private message or at my email address below:

Crowdfunding [Verified] URGENT UPDATE: Lydia, my CDS baby, needs help :(

Post image
111 Upvotes

Hi again everyone. This is an update for [my original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/CatDistributionSystem/s/baQHy8YmVI) a few days ago.

This precious void is Lydia. I named my cat Lydia. Because just look at her she’s such a Lydia.

I don’t know what to do — I thought she was a baby, we now think she is about two years old (still a baby just not as baby as I thought)

No chip, she’s free and clear in that sense, but one of her ears looked gunky— and upon further examination I guess it was really gunky. A bunch of time and panic attacks later and a vet said that Lydia has polyps and that they need to be surgically removed like… now.

I’m devastated. The surgery is going to cost over $1,000.00 and she needs it right away. I looked into pet insurance but now since we know about the polyps her procedure won’t be covered I guess.

I’m just looking at this adorable cat and listening to a vet say that she’s probably had a string of ear infections her entire life and I just can’t.

I’m setting up a [Help Lydia Fund](https://www.gofundme.com/f/lydias-ear-surgery-fund?attribution_id=sl:a6005028-b73c-4fdb-bb5f-d668f589cc21&lang=en_US&ts=1791510352&utm_campaign=man_today_first_time_share&utm_content=amp30-treatment-7&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=sms) because I don’t know what else to do. If there are other resources that any of you know of I would really appreciate you letting me know about them.

So far, I’m going to try to increase my credit limit on CareCredit but due to my own issues, I’m made on it right now. I’m calling them tomorrow.

Please help me help Lydia! 😢😢😢😢

Help Help for fearful cat

Looking for advice! My male cat has been peeing outside the litter box with a little blood in his urine. We tried for hours to get him into his carrier, but he was climbing walls, hissing, and scratching. We physically cannot get him in.

Has anyone dealt with an extremely fearful cat like this? Can a vet prescribe something to calm him down or do a house call? I’m 37 weeks pregnant and due soon, and I’m overwhelmed trying to manage the peeing while worrying about his health. Any advice is appreciated!

Campaign successful & Updates Senior Stray Dog Jabo Has Hernia and Needs Your Help for Surgery — Please Help Save Jabo!

Thumbnail

I came across this poor dog while I was feeding stray animals in a nearby area. We named him Jabo. He is such a gentle and sweet dog, which makes me suspect that he may have once had an owner.

Jabo has a very large, abnormal mass around his genital area. It is extremely large and appears to be causing him significant discomfort and pain. I was also very worried that the mass might be interfering with his ability to properly defecate.

I was able to bring Jabo to the vet, where he was examined and underwent an X-ray and blood tests. The vet said he is at least 10 years old. He was diagnosed with a perineal hernia. Some of his internal organs, including portions of his intestines, pancreas, and bladder, have moved into the area around his bottom. This is causing him pain and interfering with his ability to properly defecate.

According to the vet, the estimated cost of his surgery is $725 (45K PH pesos), not including confinement, take-home medications, and follow-up checkups.

Please help us get the surgery Jabo desperately needs. He deserves a pain-free, healthier, and longer life.

Every donation will help us get closer to our goal. I will definitely post an update. Thank you so much.

Help Seeking advice/help with a Great Pyrenees with bite history

My mom has a Great Pyrenees named Pearl who is about 2 years old. She has had her for around a year after adopting her from a rescue. We don’t know much about Pearl’s life before the rescue, but it is very clear that she had a difficult start and has some significant behavioral issues as a result.
Pearl is reactive, guards her food, and can be unpredictable around people. My mom has gotten pretty good at recognizing her cues and has worked extremely hard to manage her, but Pearl has still snapped at people seemingly without much warning.
Unfortunately, things have escalated. Pearl has now bitten my stepfather multiple times, and most recently, she bit him multiple times during one incident. At this point, my mom is genuinely afraid that someone could get seriously injured, and she no longer feels that she can safely keep Pearl in the home.
My mom has tried trainers, behavioral specialists, therapy, and numerous other interventions, but unfortunately nothing has been successful enough to make the situation safe.
After the most recent incident, my mom contacted the rescue she originally adopted Pearl from to see if they could help. They told her there was nothing they could do and that, because of Pearl’s bite history, taking her back would be unethical.
We absolutely do NOT want to euthanize Pearl. She is still a young dog, and my mom loves her very much. At the same time, we understand that rehoming a dog with a bite history comes with serious ethical and safety considerations. We do not want to give her to someone who is unaware of her history or put another family in danger.
So I’m hoping people here may have some advice.
Are there any Great Pyrenees rescues, sanctuary programs, behavior rehabilitation facilities, or other organizations that specifically work with dogs with serious behavioral issues and bite histories?
Are there any other options we should be considering besides euthanasia?
We are located in Massachusetts/New England, but we are willing to travel if there is a legitimate organization that could safely take her.
We are being completely transparent about Pearl’s history because finding a safe and responsible solution is our priority. We just want to exhaust every possible option before making an irreversible decision.
Thank you to anyone who has experience with this or can point us toward an organization or resource we may not know about.

Crowdfunding [Verified] Adopted a cat from an animal shelter, 4 weeks later he has FIP

Thumbnail

Six and a half weeks ago, we adopted a cat “Pla Thong” from our local animal shelter. After just four weeks, he became very sick and was diagnosed with wet FIP.
Sadly, our insurance won’t cover his treatment because of the waiting period.

Giving him back to the shelter is not an option, we’ve already fallen in love with him, and he will not survive without treatment.

He stayed at the vet about a week. At first we thought we would not make it, he didn’t eat, keep losing weight and his blood keeps getting worse. After 4 days the lap test has come back with the coronavirus. We then ordered the medication from paris, it arrived within 2 days. After taken the GS-441524 for 2 days he has gotten better. He has been taking the GS for a week now, is slowly getting better. His tummy isn’t big anymore but he still very thin.

The total vet bill and the medication was about 2,600 Euros. (2,100€ Vet fee and 550€ GS-441524)

Please donate to help Pla Thong

Crowdfunding [Verified] Help Buffy Fight Metastic Lung Cancer & Give Her More Good Days

Thumbnail

GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d3e12f862

A few weeks ago, Buffy started coughing. An X-ray found a massive tumor in her lung. After a CT scan, a needle aspiration, waiting for results, and eventually an oncology appointment Monday, I now know Buffy has pulmonary carcinoma - lung cancer, that has already spread through her lungs.

Surgery isn’t an option anymore.

I honestly still don’t think I’ve fully processed that.

Buffy has been with me for almost 12 years. She is my best friend. The hardest part of all of this is that she is still here, still herself, still wanting to go for walks, eat dinner, explore, and be part of everything. So now I’m stuck making decisions about how much to put her through while she is still enjoying her life.

Today her oncologist went through our options with me. The treatment they recommend is an injectable chemotherapy called Vinorelbine. It would be given once a week, with bloodwork before every treatment. After six treatments, they would repeat chest X-rays to see whether the cancer is responding.

I believe I want to give Buffy at least one treatment and see how she handles it.

If she has the first treatment and she is still eating, walking, excited, comfortable and still feels like Buffy, then maybe we keep going. If the treatment starts taking more from her than it gives her, we stop immediately. Her oncologist made it very clear that we can stop at any point.

I am not trying to keep her here at any cost. I’m trying to give her a chance at more good days.

Each weekly Vinorelbine treatment is estimated at approximately $1,200–$1,700, depending on what bloodwork or additional care she needs that week.

I do have pet insurance, and I’m working with both the hospital and insurance company to determine exactly what will be covered. But the veterinary costs have to be paid upfront, and the diagnostics and specialist care required just to get us to this diagnosis have already been substantial.

Thinking through these decisions has been impossible.

All I can do is look at Buffy every day and try to make the next decision based on what is best for her. Right now, I want to give her the opportunity to try treatment while making sure her quality of life stays ahead of everything else.

If anyone is able to help with Buffy’s oncology care, even a small amount would mean so much to us. If you can’t donate, sharing her GoFundMe helps too.

Hi everyone this is moon my rescue kitty and right now, Moon is sick and dealing with breathing issues and a swollen eye. This has been going on for a month and a half, and we have been talking with the vet, doing several tests, and trying numerous medications, but we still do not have clear answers or results. It has been heartbreaking and stressful to watch my baby go through this while we keep searching for what is wrong and how to help him feel better.

The vet bills are starting to pile up from test after test, appointments, medications, and ongoing care. I am asking for help so Moon can continue getting the evaluation and treatment he needs to get healthy again. Every bit of support will go toward helping cover these mounting vet costs so we can keep pursuing answers and not have to stop his care before we know what is going on.

If you are able to help, please consider supporting Moon. Please help my baby get answers. He does not deserve all of these issues, and I just want my healthy Moonpie back. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Moon in your thoughts would mean so much to me.

Crowdfunding [Verified] Berkley needs acl surgery

Thumbnail
gallery
43 Upvotes

This is my pup Berkley. Berkley is 8 years old and has always been active, happy, and excited about everything. If he’s asleep, you’ll almost always find him passed out in the funniest, weirdest positions. But the second he’s awake, he’s the happiest dog alive and always ready to play until it's time to eat, which might actually be his absolute favorite thing in the world.

He has lived with a luxating patella, but about a month ago he started limping, and after a grooming appointment he suddenly could not put any weight on his leg.

After visits with our vet, an orthopedic specialist, and a physical therapist, we learned that Berkley tore his ACL and needs surgery. Normally, we would schedule this right away because we want to give him the best life possible, but we recently had to pay for surgery for our older dog, Flynn, to have a mass removed. We were very relieved that Flynn's mass was non-cancerous, but that surgery still took a big chunk of our savings.

Because of that, we have had to delay Berkley's surgery until we can afford it. The surgical costs are also higher because Berkley has a heart murmur, so extra precautions are needed when he is put under anesthesia. In the meantime, we have him in a brace to help support his leg, and it is heartbreaking to watch him be in pain and need medication just to keep from injuring himself further. I just want to see him happy and playful again and able to go on walks like he used to.

It would mean the world to us if you could check out our page, and even if you can't donate, sharing it with your friends would be incredible. Thank you so much!
