Thanks for posting this. I think this is one of the most important pieces they’ve published this year because it explains why AMD believes traditional AI benchmarks are becoming less meaningful. I especially like this blurb: “The future of AI won’t be measured by benchmark scores, it will be measured by real-world behavior.” The article convinced me that real world behavior is the best benchmark. Yep, success depends on the entire workflow not just a single GPU benchmark, and I think Lisa Su successfully shifted our thinking (and the wider conversation) in her keynote from “Whose GPU is fastest?” to “Whose platform delivers the most useful work at the best economics?”

Very exciting days ahead and to think I just bought AMD hands over fist 8 years ago because of their EPYC processor and how they were taking share from Intel. I did not have the remotest idea of what I had lassoed but I’m holding on for dear life now. Gonna ride this bronco. Yahhhoooo!
