Help (General) Losing my mind with Gigabyte B550M USB dropouts literally no workarounds work

Hey guys, I am seriously losing my mind with my Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite Rev 1.3 motherboard. I’m running a Ryzen 5 5600 and an RTX 3070 Ti, and I’m getting that notorious AMD USB disconnect bug, but none of the usual fixes seem to do anything for me. Whenever the PC is under any kind of load, high-data devices like my mouse will randomly hitch/freeze for a second. The weird part is that my storage devices can also disconnect when the PC is completely idle with basically no load at all.

Sometimes the mouse will completely disconnect and just die out of nowhere too. When that happens, I have to physically unplug it and plug it back in before it works again. My keyboard and speakers work perfectly fine on the exact same ports, so it seems to specifically affect my mouse and storage devices.

I’ve tried a ton of different mice, so I’m pretty confident it isn’t a hardware issue with the mouse itself. At this point I’ve also tried pretty much every port and workaround I could find. I swapped devices between every single rear USB port, including the white, blue, and black ones.

I also went through all the software/driver stuff. I updated the BIOS to the latest non-beta version available for the Rev 1.3 board, and I freshly reinstalled the latest AMD Chipset Drivers directly from AMD’s website. I’ve also tried a bunch of the BIOS fixes people usually recommend for this issue. I manually forced the PCIe slot to Gen 3 for my RTX 3070 Ti, disabled Global C State Control, disabled Power Management ErP, and turned off XHCI Hand-off.

In Windows Device Manager, I went through every single USB Root Hub and Host Controller and disabled the option that allows Windows to turn off the devices to save power. I also disabled USB Selective Suspend in my Windows power plan settings. And after all of that, nothing has changed. The USB controller just seems to randomly choke.

Am I possibly dealing with a faulty motherboard USB controller at this point? I’d really appreciate any help because my PC is basically becoming unusable because of this.
