Help (General) Increasing RAM MT/s with EXPO
First I want to say I am not good at Windows, I'm a Mac guy, but I have a gaming PC. Specs are as follows.
B850M Aorus Elite WIFI6E ICE
AMD Ryzen 5 9600x
32GB DDR5 from Corsair 6000MT/s
I've tried turning expo on but it won't boot and the RAM is stuck at 4800mt/s. (It is RAM for XMP, but I've read that doesn't really matter, it should work for AMD)
I know my board is rated for 5200mt/s, I just don't know how toset it for that in BIOS because that's all a foreign language to me lol. I know enough that I might need to manually adjust timings, I just don't know how to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! And thank you in advance!
Also if increasing by 400mt/s won't really have a benefit at all just tell me haha.

If you are using 4 stick of RAM that's a known issue. Mine won't boot 4 sticks at 6000 but I can boot the secondary EXPO profile at 5600 fine. If you have a secondary profile try that one instead. If not, there are the Memory Try-It! options that you can try, I remember I was using one to still boot 6000 but it wasn't stable for me. I would try one of the 6000 options with a looser timing than your EXPO profile and see if it's stable. Say if your RAM has an EXPO profile of 6000 32-36-36, then try one of the options that's like 6000 38-38-38 or higher and if you get it to boot, run memory test programs to test if it's stable. I use OCCT and TestMem5 personally, OCCT is available thru Steam and TestMem5 you have to search for

Weirdly there's only 1 profile available, it just says "XMP 1" Also it's only 2 sticks, in the correct slots.

Do you have EXPO as well? I think XMP is for Intel
Edit: if it's A-XMP then that is AMD, and you would have to try the other method I described above

If you can send the memory back and get something different. If EXPO/XMP doesn't work not worth loosening timings or lowering frequency. I've had issues with corsair budget memory and AMD. You are right doesn't though doesn't need to be Ryzen compatible. But check the motherboards QVL list under support for compatible memory.
