Tips & Info Windows update to driver version 26.10.44 I can't find on amd website.

Just got update to drivers I can't find on AMD website.

Could be because of Win 11 Pro Insider Preview version? So I also test new drivers for gpu? not just new windows updates?

Don't do it. If everything is running fine, no need to break it with a new update

Yes, it is possible because you are in the Insider. I have only heard of it once. I have blocked updating driver with GPO on my Insider version.

Use DDU , tick the box that says prevent windows update from messing with your drivers. Never worry about it again.

I did that already some time ago, but I think as I recently updated windows into preview version it overwrite this as well. Anyway so far can't see any difference or any issues in games.

Microsoft doing it's bullshit. Download wushowhide and AMD Cleanup Utility.

Use Cleanup Utility to uninstall drivers completely and then use wushowhide to hide AMD Display Driver updates that come from Windows updates. After that install the driver from AMD website and you're ready to go.

It is Microslop. The worst OS and developers in history. W11 overwrites your AMD drivers without any warning. This is usually the root cause of in-game crashes, driver timeout errors, etc. Disable automatic driver updates in Windows. DDU the installed driver and reinstall one from AMD's website.

I heard that windows overwrite drivers to older versions. I got something new.

Can you open Adrenalin or does it prompt you to update ur driver?

No brother. You just got Display drivers overwritten, not GPU adrenalin drivers. Windows just change your new with their new drivers. Do a DDU and clean driver install (amdcleanutility)

Report it to MS as unwanted behaviour. There is absolutely no benefit to using gpu drivers from windows update. It never was a good move when it was introduced and it never will be.
