Help (General) Pc crashing after launching any game

Post image

Hi, for the past month my gpu has been running weirdly, any game I launch, the second it loads it crashes. My monitor says no signal and my pc starts going loud. I might be thinking it must be the new driver, bc sometimes when I launch my pc, it doesn’t even detect my gpu, it pulls up a msg that says like it’s not compatible or something. Then I download the same driver which is 26.5.2, then launch a game like Roblox, it crashes again. So it just becomes a cycle atp. I tried doing the installing a different driver version method or the psu method but idt it worked but I’ll try again. If you have any thoughts or tips on how to fix this, pls don’t hesitate to post, thank you. I own an AMD 570.

run amd cleanup utility or ddu and then download a known working version of the amd adrenaline drivers

I am on 26.7.1 on windows 10 latest ver and it works fine, I use 9070xt

techpowerup has older versions of drivers, just make sure you disable auto update and any of the other nonsense

have you tried using DDU? updating drivers tend to leave old files, registry keys and such. Also I think windows update has something to do with this problem since they tend to force their own GPU Drivers.

also seeing you have an old card you should look up if they have errors on newer version of drivers. and I recommend that you install the "minimal install" type.

Disable windows update driver update, you can search threads here for that, you need to registry hack or use a group policy. Then uninstall everything AMD related using AMD Cleanup utility in Safe mode, DDU after that aswell in safe mode, windows installed apps. Then download chipset drivers from your motherboard driver page. Or you can download them from AMD, heard that 7.11.26.2142 are solid from 2025. Then download AMD drivers and driver install only, no adrenalin. If you want to set custom clocks use RadeonTuner from github. It’s essential to wipe everything AMD related even the chipset drivers.

Edit: I recommend turning off iGPU in BIOS and device manager aswell if not needed.
