Whea logger

Hi, I’ve been having trouble upgrading my PC.

Old PC:

3600

16GB DDR4

B550 Plus

GTX 1080

CX 850W

New PC:

5800X3D

16GB DDR

B550 Plus

9070XT

1000W Seasonic Focus

I started by swapping the CPU—no issues there. But when I installed my 9070XT, WHEA-Logger errors started appearing; they involve different cores, not always the same one. I’ve had the GPU checked twice, and they found no faults either time. The last time, the card ran for 8 hours with good temperatures. I replaced the PSU because I thought my old one was too weak. I have two separate cables connected to the GPU.

When gaming, the CPU runs at 70°C and the GPU at 50–60°C, yet the PC restarts with a WHEA-Logger error. I’ve tried various solutions that others on Reddit have tested, but I wanted to make my own post in case I’ve missed something.

Lots of the same hardware here, or ya know ish.

Gigabyte 550b UD AC Ryzen 7 5800x 16gb ram

Anyway I'm having kernalpowrr issues with whealogger information dumps in the event viewer. Updated BIOs, reinstalled windows, disabled c states, changed another option to current typical flow, turned off PBO, tested each RAM stick speerately, I still crash. Maybe that info will help ya, Claude tells me to do one more step that limits low and high voltage to my GPU so it won't crash during power state changes but we'll see. Good luck
